Note to betas: stop thinking you can "become" an alpha.

I'm beta (possibly omega) and while not exactly proud of it, I just don't give a fuck about it anymore.

Sure sometimes I wonder what it would like to be born alpha but you are what you are.

Just do what makes you happy - if at heart you're a beta who doesn't enjoy the responsibilities of raising a family and just want to screw around in the Caribbean / Southeast Asia / Africa paying to fuck the locals till you're 50 or something then so be it.

Again, you only live once.

Maybe you should start hanging around different people if most of the women you know fit your stereotype.

Every woman fits that stereotype. The only difference is whether they are given an opportunity to verbalize the feeling.

If you find a woman who doesn't think she is somehow disenfranchised, check for balls.

No one knows what life is about but people will always try to tell you that their view of reality is the right one. There's no right answer to your dilemma, so in the end you're going to do whatever it is you do, and that's the only way it could have happened. Happiness is a state of being, so is regret, and so is unhappiness. They aren't permanent.
 
Just because your situation (apparently) sucks right now doesn't mean you can't make it a hell of a lot worse. Living for yourself won't necessarily bring you more happiness. It's cliche, but sometimes the grass on the other side isn't always greener.
