Thanks.

I agree with him. I don't believe in the theory of evolution either. It's lousy science.

Ughhh... Please buy and read this:

Science, Evolution, and Creationism

EDIT: You can do it here for free: http://www.nap.edu/openbook.php?record_id=11876&page=1

In between adding content to my site and just learning all of the seo I can from here I literally don't have enough time to school this forum on this.

(double majored: one of which was Biology. It was either go into business or become a biologist, one paid better.)

Lastly, Loyola (ironic name... Almost went to school there.)
WHAT IS A THEORY?

Over and out, if someone starts a thread I'll chime in all I can though.

I don't see anything wrong with questioning, or not believing in a "theory"

who cares?

You can't ignore generations of scientific progress and expect people not to care, it's okay to stop kissing his ass when he's wrong.

He's still the most rational candidate, but don't follow blindly and defend his every word. His views on evolution don't matter, but they are obviously deeply flawed to anyone who actually understands the theory.

But that's okay, a scientific mind wouldn't do well as a politician. He's fine as he is.

You're as bad as fox news viewers, accepting out of context quotes as fact.

That's great.... that he changed his opinion in a book he wrote four years after stating that he didn't accept evolution (not that the book actually states that he accepts evolution). Go watch the video, it's not out of context, it is the context.

I did. And he said he doesn't accept it as fact, which doesn't mean he doesn't think evolution is bullshit. You're really not good at this. Plus, anyone who accepts any theory as fact is a straight up moron, being from the science world myself.

Do you supporters know RP's positions?
I wasn't aware of the evolution one; that surprised me, especially since Paul's a Doctor! - But I don't see any Pro-evolution defenders of the constitution running for the white house right now, so Paul's still the man in my book.

What about the following:

“I have accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior, and I endeavor every day to follow Him in all I do and in every position I advocate.”
-Ron Paul"
This just means he's not as smart as he could be. Still, his prophetic powers are more impressive than any politician's I've ever even read about in history books. Even if he wanted prayers back in schools at this point he'd have my vote simply because all of the good he is fighting for far outweighs the stupid.

The WF crowd calls me an idiot, stupid, whatever for my beliefs, and yet their hero believes the same. He also believes in a Creator.
See how that works? I wouldn't call Paul stupid to his face, because he does so much damn good he's still awesome despite having the same lame limitation as you. :p

one last thing at LukeP - RP is not a prophet. nothing he said could not have been said by another especially with him eliminating a timeline...
Did you really have to take me (someone you know to be a hardline atheist) calling him a prophet as actually crediting him with magical powers?

It was a compliment, not an accusation of witchcraft. Sheesh.

I am not so certain - the following is from Paul's "Statement of Faith"
Scrotorum openly talks about penalizing others (such as homosexuals) because of his faith. Paul would never do such a thing and you know it. It's unconstitutional.

I do not believe in the Gold Standard - with it we would all be universally poorer...
Poorer than...?

You clearly don't see that locomotive headed for your nose at mach speeds that was created by the fed and made possible thru fiat money.

Yeah, currency can 'still' be abused if its' on a standard like gold, but guess what? It's MUCH MORE abused like it is now. Why is this so hard for you to see?

Ok, this I gotta hear... What is it about the theory of evolution do you not believe in? What exactly are you calling lousy science? Which scientists' version of it?

Do you not even believe that your ancestors were hairy tree-lovers?

BRB, going to walk to nearest drawbridge and see how gravitational theory works out.

You're delusional. His quote was, "I don't accept it as a THEORY". Not, "I don't accept it as a fact," but as a THEORY.

Since you are apparently delusional: 2007.11.01 Ron Paul Spartanburg GOP Executive Meeting Part 5 - YouTube

Wait. You think Ron Paul is going to be president... you ARE delusional.

BRB, going to walk to nearest drawbridge and see how gravitational theory works out.

Funny you say that, because even today NASA does experiments to try and verify that gravity and general/special relativity are correct. It is still a theory

Gravity Probe B - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wanna take me on in something I know best? Every year people run more and more accurate experiments...just to verify gravity works on all scales. There's a reason it's not called a postulate.

It's lousy science.

Did the scientists who studied the peppered moth not follow proper scientific protocols?

Many theories become disproven. That doesn't mean that lousy science was used in the development of said theories.

"Any physical theory is always provisional, in the sense that it is only a hypothesis; you can never prove it. No matter how many times the results of experiments agree with some theory, you can never be sure that the next time the result will not contradict the theory. On the other hand, you can disprove a theory by finding even a single observation that disagrees with the predictions of the theory." - Stephen Hawking

He doesn't acknowledge the theory as fact. That's implicit in his position. It's not that he doesn't acknowledge the theory exists, because by addressing it he implicitly acknowledges it is out there.

You're really grasping at straws bro. Plenty of atheists don't believe in the theory of evolution, because as far as theories go, it has gaping holes in it and no irrefutable proofs.

He dismisses evolution (the theory) based on his religious views, not fact. That's my problem with him. He's supposed to be a man of science. You can't call yourself a doctor, dismiss one of the most widely accepted theories of the last 50 years, and never give a scientific reason why. To him, the theory might as well not even exist.

Bullshit. A theory is not fact. Opinions and other ideas should always be welcomed whenever talking about a theory.
