I lived in the Middle East for a while. No, moving away isn't as hard as everyone thinks. But... if you really want to appreciate how good we have it, living in a 3rd world country will certainly inspire it.

And, btw, not having a TV and not paying attention to MSNBC/ CNN = giant win. So many chicken littles on TV. Be productive and happier. Kill your television (or at least your cable).

For those of you who missed it the Dow Jones removed all stocks in the industrial average priced under $10.00, effectively eliminating the crippled financial sector. Had they been left in the Dow would be lower and would have broken down below 7200.

Pretend to be surprised that a liberal President is raising taxes and expanding government, pretend to be surprised that over 95% of black voters voted for him. I've been to other countries such as Mexico and India... and I'm very happy I live in America. :) Can't always have the best of everything but I am glad for what I have.

If you come into cakes chat it seems every night like clockwork around 2 or 3 in the morning we all talk about different countries to live in. I moved to Mexico 2 years ago and so far its been pretty cool - would rather move to Panama or somewhere in Europe at this point however.

USA is just another roman empire. The final blow is going to be overextension of military, lackluster leadership, and the overinflated dollar is going to punish us. It won't punish the world, they will have dropped it as the reserve currency in favor of the dollar.

I've been looking at diversifying my earnings lately, I really want to start getting payments in Euros or Pounds.

Right now it 'appears' the dollar has become stronger than the other currencies but ALL currencies are falling in value, as they are fiat. The dollar is temporarily stronger because of deleveraging and the dollar would soon take a big dive.

Can you read? I'm saying the dollar is currently a better bet than the other currencies you named. Maybe your sarcasm detector is off.
 
I know some of you hard core neo cons can't see past your nose, but Obama will have this country back in the saddle in 2 years. He has something that is really novel to the GOP, it's called ideas!

As opposed to letting Citi Bank and Bank of America Fail, as well as the car industry. We have 2 choices a stimulus bill to kick start the economy or just not do anything and let the markets take care of themselves. News flash...we tried letting the markets take care of themselves the last 8 years, you see where that got us.

If the GOP's scary smart philosophy was so good you'd be in power, but clearly we're in this dire position due to the worst president (Bush) and his cabinet in the history of the United States, who were busy gang raping the United States for nearly a decade.
