with a title something like...

Notice of Underreported Income

and a link to a site beginning Internal Revenue Service but then ending in some spam domain, which is a malware site.

tres funny.

ah, what will these jokers think of next...

I got these spams, too, was going to comment on them in the email forum but forgot. I got hundreds of those same messages yesterday. These guys are cute.

thanks for wasting my time:321:

you're welcome, shitforbrains.

you've obviously got plenty to waste.

The point (I'll explain cos you are so obviously challenged neuronically) is that this spam attempt can ONLY have a FUCKING SMIDGEON chance of success in a FUCKING TINY percentage of receivees cases.

Are you subject to US IRS regs?
Have you been naughty with your tax?
Do you care?
Are you fucking dumb enough to click a naked link in an email?
Do you have no malware protection or are a cheapwad using some kind of 'windows' play-computer?

Aside from YOU, there's probably only about 8 people worldwide dumb enough to fall for it. And yet they've still distributed 33,000,000 since yesterday.

I dunno who dumber. You or them.

Damn they must really be getting around. I got that shit multiple times yesterday.

I'll tell you something for a fact. That these emails keep going out is an indicator idiots ARE falling for them. All it takes is 1 bufoon out of 10,000 emails and these guys are probably selling the info to fraudsters, identity-theft ops, who knows. But don't kid yourself, why do you think all these Nigerian scam emails keep coming and coming? There are old ladies who shout "Yahoo! I won 38,000,000!" and think their time in the spotlight finally has hit.

I got that one so many times yesterday I was convinced that the IRS was spamming me. Gave all my money to nigerians to keep it safe....

Maybe I'm crazy but probably half the people in America are exactly that stupid.

not necessarily.

All it tells you is that someone is TRYING to spam. You can't draw any conclusions from them in the same way you can't tell how many asshats blocking up google PPC are actually mom-pop-rich-jerk-ebook-victims who are
happily wasting money. and will continue to do so in the touching belief they are about to become rich until... the credit card tops out. at which point they are replaced by yet another pack of morons.

not necessarily. All it tells you is that someone is TRYING to spam.

1. People don't try to spam and reach billions of people. You can't get access to the server power or data that easily AND pull it off.

2. This is a professional job, not some 12 year old dork in his basement trying to spam for his first time.

3. They are making money doing it.

Accept it, move on.

bet yer it stops within a week.

It's sherer, using his mom's internet connection

accept it, and fuck off.

That's the long tail. They don't even have to hit people specifically, emails like this will be forwarded on, because the same people who click on everything, and fall for every scam, love to forward emails to everyone on their contact list. Shit like this is viral.

This ^^^

Having had another 20 or so today, I'm starting to agree with u. Still think it will peter out in a week tho cos even a spammer needs SOME kind of ROI.
