Damn, this sucks. I had around $550 in LR from IM.
I think a lot of forex and casinos use LR quite a bit as a payment method as well. They all probably lost a ton here as well.

I wonder what'll happen to all those lost millions....

Probably the government and their crones will get most of it, just like happend to emocorp way back when.

The Gov came in with an "unaccounted money" excuse, appointed a $300/hr+ team of "verifiers"/"receivers" that depleted most of the funds (paid themselves first "investigating") then distributed what shit was left to account holders.

Bankers + Government + No play ball = You're fucked.

They let the owner "win" towards the end, but in the process fucked up the business & account holders.

If Liberty Reserve actually had "reserves" I think we'll all get our money back because their records will have all of our account information, emails etc. But if that faggot skimmed any or even all of that money then we're fucked. If it came back online tomorrow we'd still be fucked because no exchange is obligated to honor LR and most will probably refuse to deal in it. The fucking F.B.I. also acted irresponsibly and should be slapped with a class action lawsuit so that we get our money back from all of LR's assets before the feds get to cream any fines off of it. :crap:

Challenge accepted.
It's not that I have something against technological solutions, it's that if you spend enough time thinking about the nature of the problem, it's not something you can solve technologically.

But hey, I hope people keep trying things because experimentation is a good way to learn new things.

The fucking F.B.I. also acted irresponsibly and should be slapped with a class action lawsuit
You can't sue the government like that. They have "sovereign immunity" which means they can basically act with impunity within the confines of public opinion.

Disagree. You guys want anarchy? Technology is your greatest friend.

Fresh water, hunger, poverty, sanitation, disease, etc.? All 100% solvable on a global scale via technology. If you want governments to have less control over their populous', technology is the way to do that.

You left out the "...so that we get our money back from all of LR's assets before the feds get to cream any fines"

It's not like they committed murder or grand treason here so there's no immunity or paid vacations in the picture for them. It's just chump change in the piggybank that the lawsuit would try to divert away from their own coffers or those of any cronies that try to slither forth. It's worth a try and might be fun for someone who wants to see how the system works.

I may need to take back some words. In this article they say that LR S.A. was shutdown in 2011 and Budovsky kept running LR under 5 umbrella corporations. And that with having the US and CR gov on your ass.
We will see if there is anything money wise to recover, but i have this feeling there isn't a cent left.

where it says:
