Mars Rover: Only $8 per person
Mars Mission: $2.5 billion - Do you think it was a good idea compared to alternative uses of cash?

If you managed America's money and had to work in the best interest of its citizens, would you put $2.5 billion towards this mission?

I won't ask any leading questions. Let's get a real poll.

Alternatives like handing out 2.5 billion in welfare and food stamps to fucking lazy pieces of shit? Using more money to kill people? Fund wars?

I'd say this was a very good investment of money for the advancement of space technology and the human race as a whole.

First make the planet earth a better living planet than think about going to another one.

I voted yes, but if the government giving back the money was a viable alternative, then I'd say no they should give the money back.

If someone robbed me at gun point and said "look I'm not going to give you back your money, but I'll either use your money to go buy a shitload of guns to kill people with, or I'll use it to go explore outer space and my findings might have a benefit on your life" then I'd choose the second option. Obviously I'd want my money back but gl with that.

If wickedfire has taught me anything is that when you don't like where you live escape to a 3rd world country, well it doesn't get any more 3rd world than mars now does it?

Technically, Mars is 4th world.

Personally, I say there should be a couple extra 0s on that budget. Fuck the Pentagon, invest in NASA.

Do they need to visit to mars to find a third world planet? Half of the earth planet where we live is a third world.

This curiosity shit is just to show the world we reach at mars at first (Meria leads in every shit of this earth) rather than having ACTUAL benefits and betterment of pplz of this earth. Watch the celebration and speech from scientists you will see the lust behind it.

As someone quoted this in other relevant thread:-

landing on the moon got us to where?
getting on mars will help us do what?

Nasa Spin-Off Technologies

Theres a shit load of tech that comes out of NASA that eventually makes its way into the mainstream and it all comes out of the innovation thats needed to work in extreme environments.
