Matt Cutts Announces The End Of Backlinks Having Any SEO Value.

The vast majority of *ahem* "marketers" rely on sucking from the Google teat for traffic.

There are a handful of independent marketers that do well with SEO. The rest fight tooth and nail to rank for "long term keywords."

They're fine with fighting each other for scraps. They think that's how it's supposed to be.

If there was a huge changeup like this joke, some would get smart and go over to paid traffic and drive up click/media prices for people actually running a business.

The rest would flood the welfare lines.

lol SEO lol

Peasants spotted all day, everyday.

I'm going to say what you want to hear:

You are so right. You have a huge penis. Everyone who depends on SEO (like Top 10 Reviews, Sportsbook Review, EliteTrader, Latest Casino Bonuses, WebMD, PRWeb, etc) are all a bunch of peasants for depending on SEO. You probably bank like, 1,000,000x what they do. You are awesome and we suck. We can all hope to be like you one day.

What part of me saying "independent marketers" in my post don't you understand?

Like it or not, you know what I'm said is correct. Depending 100% on a single company that is well-known to change it's "rules" as much as most people change shoes is short-sighted and piss poor planning.

But do what you want.

You sound like you're depending on Google to weed out the potential competition for you - in your previous post.

"If there was a huge changeup like this joke, some would get smart and go over to paid traffic and drive up click/media prices for people actually running a business."

So you depend on Google indirectly. Y u so mad?

Whenever one is so mad as to insult people, there's usually some sort of butthurt behind it. It's human nature. Unless you're a fucking special human being, you're no different from anyone. And I know plenty who hope they're special. The special ones understand how average they are, generally. But I'm curious as to what the butthurt is.

Jesus Christ, fellas. The one time I make an attempt to troll a little bit on here and it works TOO well. Instead of some 5 post wonder getting all worked up, a flock of regulars swoops in all white knighting each other.

Get your jimmies unrustled for the love of Pete. It was just a difference in opinion with a dash of trolling fun.

We can die any minute. There is risk in life. You try and diversify when you can. But you keep pushing what works.

In the end, any business can be taken out by a very large organization called the government, an organization known to change it's "rules" as much as most people change shoes.

Business is filled with challenges. We need to be adaptive. You could be cut out of ad words or whatever is your main source of income. New industries can come up that destroy old ones. Underlying trends can destroy an entire industry.

You can say you were trolling all you like, but you meant it to a degree. Which is fine. The more close minded people like you, the better it is for me. And I'm not talking about just SEO. The range of techniques that can be applied when marketing online are immense; whatever you fucking call it. The more someone believes that 'one way is the way', the better it is for those who don't have a fetish for any particular method.

You can say you were trolling all you like, but you meant it to a degree.

Of course I "meant it to a degree." That's what a difference of opinion is, you condescending shithead.

You call me "closed minded" when you're the one advocating zero diversity in your business?

ELL-OH-FUCKING-ELL. You're even more stupid than so-called "newbies" that jump from plan to plan.

Yes, I'm advocating for zero diversity. That is exactly what I said. I'm a condescending shithead. You are awesome. Feel better now?

BTW, I'm now curious as to what has you so emotive as to want to attack me?

I think you are someone who knows a lot and you likely you do very well. But you are arrogant (I am too many times) and made a foolish sounding statement in this thread (I've done so in other threads) which in my opinion, exposed a closed minded view of web marketing (notice I didn't say social, SEO, PPC, email, having an affiliate program, media buys, PPV, viral, etc). So I pointed it out. Others did too. I didn't attack you.

I employ every possible method of online marketing. In my niche, most customers buy the widget after a Google search, and it is an Adwords restricted niche (also restricted on facebook and other platforms). I do work some PPC, media buys, viral marketing, etc.

In any case, since in my niche those who dominate are those who dominate in SEO, I enjoy a less saturated competitive landscape since short term money has a hard time getting in.

You say more risk? I say more reward. I expect to continue to acquire organic search customers for 1/60th of the net profit I will get from them. My top competitor does 7 digits per month, mostly from SEO traffic; I'm sure his numbers in terms of cost per acquisition:net lifetime customer profit are similar. I don't think we have so much a difference of opinion, as a difference of perspective. Every business has weak points. Mine and yours. Show me one that doesn't and I'll show you someone who is delusional.
