I know this girl is growing old. Been through it all with her but i'm thinking it's time i get a new one. Any suggestions?

No macs
No ipads or shit like that
Only pcs, no budget

I have a Dell D600 which is 7 years old and finally showing signs of dying.

The issue here is the following. It depends on what you like. How you like the keys to feel, how big/small you want etc..

I know guys that fly a lot and refuse to get a laptop bigger than 14" but then I know other guys that want the biggest one they can find.

I personally like something in the middle. I think weight has a huge part of my decision.

Also warranty should be important too I think.

You don't need a better CPU or more RAM, you need faster drive access. Take out the HDD and put in an SSD, you won't need a new laptop.

ACERS SUCKS DICK, they are the worst.

asus or lenovo. And make sure you can easily access the fans, for cleaning and it has good air flow. THIS IS MORE IMPORTANT THEN ANYTHING ELSE.
