I called them, and they had no clue how they were charging, when they were charging and at what limit they were charging.

I'm pretty sure someone in back is pressing random numbers in the credit card processor.

Yeah. Well now they can enjoy charging my $25 american express gift card which is now my primary payment method.

I am getting wayyy overcharged as well...
Ne luck with contact #?

no. I submitted a fucking contact form. subject line: "you overcharged me by $31,000"

it's the weekend, it's christmas week. this is probably gonna be a huge headache. how much is your discrepancy?

These guys are animals.... Every hour, on the half hour from late 12/18 to all day 12/19 these guys have been running of $1,000+/hr

$22,000 overcharged.....should be a fun conversation

I just audited my ad spending against my cc charges, and everything seems ok. But this is evidence that Myspace must overhaul their billing system, and provide more transparency for the end user.

I would like to see more information for each billing transaction such as a summary of # of clicks, and time period...

I was overcharged as well. The response on MySpace's end was pathetic, in spite of them taking several days to respond. Your best is likely to contact your bank and let them know what's happening. Doing so definitely helped, since MySpace attempted to charge my account again just a few days later.

It's especially tough for us international affiliates who have to deal with conversion rates.

Luckily they haven't ever overcharged me, as far as I can tell, but I don't run very much with them. I can't imagine the hassles if they do though, what with exchange rates, etc.

Thats a crazy coincidence that you just posted that, I did an audit myself today and was MAJORLY over charged. Around $20,000 overcharged. Would you mind posting the customer service # you called, or pming me?

EDIT: Didn't read the whole thread before posting. Damn, I guess we're in the same boat invisible - except it happened to me on the 18th. Once an hour with random numbers like yours.

oh shits... haven't been spending that much daily, but running on several accounts gets tough to manage your numbers... shit... now i the scardied... best of luck getting that settled.

So between PM's, IM's and emails I know 5 people including myself who have been overcharged more then $22,000. The glitch seems to have begun around 8:30 PM EST on 12-18-2008. You get billed for $1,000 - $1,400 every hour on or around the half hour.

I suggest checking your shit if you haven't done so. If you notice something messed up pause your shit and insert a gift card as your payment method.

MySpace support replied:
Hello,

Thank you for reporting this matter to us. We regret to hear that your credit card received unauthorized charges. Please contact your financial institution for assistance with your account.

We have forwarded your email to our Billing department for further investigation. One of our representatives will be in contact with you.

Thank you for contacting MySpace MyAds beta.

Wow, thanks for bringing this up.

I usually spend $3k or so a day on Myspace, and for some reason my billing transactions page shows over 20 transactions dated 12-19-2008 for over $1000 each. hopefully thats a glitch.

Same thing on the 18th until my card maxed out, about 12k in charges. We normally spend about 2-3k/day for this one particular campaign and account. No more clicks then normal came through .

This turns into a serious pain to check when you have more then a couple accounts or people working with you to create accounts. I don't think I've been overcharged, but I'm not totally sure yet. Thanks for the heads up.

has anyone got a phone number yet? i called the one on my statement and it was an automated piece of shit that eventually hung up on you. this is very frustrating, i emailed them about it two days ago and no reply yet.

I just called and left a voicemail with the Director of the Ad Platform and told him about my overcharges and everyone else that has chimed in here, letting him know that there is definitely more than $100k in overcharges just from a handful of people.

Hopefully i'll hear back Monday
