Myspace Ads

I'm targetting over 1.5m people but I've had 8k imps and 2 clicks in 2 days... Any idea whats up anyone?

Im not entirely sure whether or not my stats are just not updating or whether all of my campaigns just havent been running since mid-last week.

Im still sitting ok 5500 impressions with 0 clicks

I'm still trying to get past the 'Build An Ad' button, which does nothing for me. I tried IE7, FF2, FF3, Opera and Chrome. I also tried Tor and proxies, but nothing works :(

Seems to me if everyone that has been hamming at this at $.25 a click and the majority are not making conversions/money off them, that well is going to dry up for myspace. Who is going to continue pumping quarters into this machine, if it never pays out??

Of course, personally, I'm still waiting for ads to get approved, so I don't even have the opportunity to give them all my money yet.

...
But all of this came from her on an "off the record" phone convo about it. The cpc isn't going to go down either, since the rush has pretty much proved to them that people are willing to spend a lot more than just $0.25 per click to advertise on their whored out social network. So we all kinda shot ourselves in the foot with that one.

@ Boaisso - yes, that was/is profit

@ guerilla - without giving too much away ;) I have been converting consistently 1+:50 on a high paying offer with clicks at .29c - $15 per 50 clicks - I have more than 100% ROI which allows for a bit of testing/playing with other similar offers (which have also converted at similar ratios). Even 1:100 would be represent a small profit.

I'd love to say it was all down to knowledge talent and skill but tbh I have just hit it lucky I guess, with the right creative/offer and have managed to scale it up a bit via multiple campaigns for the same offer across two accounts, much to the fear of my credit card company - pussies.

I did do a bit of testing (about $200) across differing niches to start with, all direct linked using stock creatives and just quickly weeded out what didn't work/pay, and gambled/scaled the one or two that did. Pretty happy considering its only my second full month doing CPL stuff!

Can anyone post the link for the page this button goes to:

See if I can get in that way.

Good work man, that's good info. Now if I could just get my ads to approve a little bit faster lol.

@ Boaisso - Thanks
@ AMagz - Cheers - and my second account has just run into the ad approval problem as well!! Like I said, I have been very lucky I think - just hit the right offer/creative. Other than a little testing, I have to confess not much thought went into it at all.

Yesterday ended up being the best yet - total spend for the day was just over $800 on the main offer I'm pushing - total commissions - $2k+ on that offer alone. Lost a couple hundred on one offer whose banners I've now paused, made a couple hundred more on another offer which which I was testing as well - I'm now gonna scale that one a bit - pays well and is converting consistently at 1:20 direct off stock banners. Total for the day was north of $2.6k from costs of about $1.2k.

I am already seeing exactly the same consistent conversion rates this morning as well (UK time). Here we go again...pass me some more quarters ;)

This is like Christmas!!

I finally got my ad approved and running right before the weekend. As others have reported, their stats are definitely delayed by many hours.

Oh and - are you guys able to click the "Edit" links under Details when you go to view a campaign?

It says Edit right next to Demographics, Geographic, Interests, and Campaign Budget.... but it won't let me click on these. What gives?

Am I supposed to wait until the budget runs out before I can click and change them?

Once a campaign is approved, you are not able to edit the url - each approved ad is assigned the url you gave it, so its very easy to create duplicate campaigns that do then not need approval. This is why you give each ad a unique name.

You can edit any other aspect of a campaign like budgets demographics etc by pausing and re-submitting - it goes live again straight away.

are these guys only accepting US credit cards? or USD credit cards? cuz i dont live in the states -__-''

Just sign up and write your full address in the street fields. I'm outside the US and they're taking my money no problem.
