NEW Facebook Ads

Is it reasonable to assume the majority of fbook advertisers post here on WF?

If so, anyone interested in some collaboration? We all agree to drop our bids to a set level, force fbook to run ads with the best images the most?

Wait... that never works, nevermind.

How can we leverage our collective power to drive down fbook costs?

Yeah what's with the severe impression drops? Glad to hear I wasn't the only one.

Started up a bunch of new dating campaigns with dozens of ads the other day. I started my CPC in the middle of the suggested range at $0.55 just to kickstart them. Fairly large demographics, and a $x,xxx budget so it's not like it was a cpc/budget issue.

Result?

Each ad received an average 1600 impressions per hour... Pathetic.

Yeah.. it's always good to have different sources for traffic.

its not even about the traffic anymore. i had ads that were sitting around 13cpc, ctr 0.15% in a HUGEEEEE market. And now..clicks dropped by atleast 900%. fucking facebook is just greeeedy

Damn, .55c is high for dating, you must be getting monster payouts or conversions. Or you just drop the bid big time.

No it was just for the sake of getting the ads started off with some decent impressions and ctr. I would lower it waay down from that. But with almost no impressions, even at really high budgets and cpc's, it's a joke.

I hear ya. I have an extremely hard time keeping any dating offer up and running after the initial burst.

Two weeks ago I got all the traffic I wanted at .16 cpm for my demographic, now I have to pay .23 cpm to get any traffic with the same demo. Hopefully this is just temporary.

It's more or less the same here. I wonder if anyone is still getting a ton of impressions.

Yep, i've seen a big traffic drop for all my non-us/ca compaing several days ago. And now all the same.

CTR almost the same, little higher, but it could be some fluctuations.
Bids... Don't know...
$0.4 for ctr about 0.8-1% and 0.05 for ctr about 0.8-1% giving almost the same amount of impressions (same targeting).
Conversion the same and even a bit better.

Making bids higher have no effect, so it seems not greed but some changes.

New rating systems are real and in effect. Ads with good ratings will run like hell and cost you nothing, ads with bad ratings may not even run at all - even if you bid $10/click. Just got an email from the rep, here's part of it:

That reads as if they copied it almost word for word from the G Adwords moible policy. Way to be original.

They should just say what they mean.
"We'd really like you to run non-commercial ads. Like, won't anyone just pay for traffic and not monetize it?"
Not accepting rebills isn't a big deal to me, but combined with all the other bullshit, it's really getting obnoxious.

Why the hell would I spend time on something when they fuck over stability and change their minds constantly? This isn't brain surgery.
