Odd Medical Question: Anyone else not bleed?

I cut myself on the leg a few weeks ago while we were moving, and the blood that came out was weird; it like, separated into really thick cranberry-sauce type stuff on the bottom and some weird oily/watery stuff on top. It was like someone separated the blood in a centrifuge.

Fokken prawn, someone call MNU.

If you're seriously that far out of whack with the norm, I'd get down to a haemotologist and get your blood checked.

Clotting super quickly is very cool when you can cut yourself and don't bleed, but not so cool when you get blood clots where they aren't supposed to be (like your brain).

This.

And hopefully you don't smoke.

Thanks and you might be right. I'm researching the whole hyper-coagulation syndrome mentioned above but its tough to find symptoms other than getting blood clots which I've never had since its been like this my whole life and no real problems that i've noticed. Yep, I smoke and I have no idea what my blood pressure is. Maybe its just really low. When I go to the store today I'll stick my arm in one of those cuff things and find out.

Go to a doc and get some tests run such as Factor V leiden , protein c, protein s, homocysteine blah blah. Usually its a hypercoagulable panel.
Don't smoke, can put you in a further hypercoagulable state.

Instead drink moderate alcohol which acts kind of like a mild coumadin
