First of all, increasing your exposure with a tanking stock is an awful plan to make money. If FB has been trading for years and you knew its patterns well, then you can identify support levels and buy the dips - but Facebook is two weeks old and going over like a fart in church, and you want to buy more on the way down? Ever hear of trading out of a bad position?

I won't tell you what to do, but a market pro might have a very simple suggestion and say "cut your losses".

If I were looking for short term gains I would agree with you. As I have mentioned earlier this is a long term bet for me. I dont believe in following the trends. If everyone says to run away, sell and cut your losses, then I will turn around and buy as much as I can. And this is one of those cases where I think it makes sense to go against the grain. This isnt advice or anything other than an educated guess.

I have already set the reminder to bump this thread in 2 years. We will see what happens. If I am wrong I will be the first to admit it.

Someone should use xrumer to spam forums "$FB is going to ZERO, sell NOW!!!", and then see how hard it falls then lol.

I don't even care, never had any interest in buying into the hype, but I can't take my eyes off of it, like a bad accident on the freeway.

Damn Facebook really is such an amazing stock to short. It's the safest company to short so far ! Been great , besides the Spanish banks i've been shorting i'm all in shorting Facebook . YOu should add an option shorting Facebook haha.

I'll have to agree with you on long term value of Facebook but for now with the economy and speculation on Facebook failling. I would keep shorting it till it falls to around 20$ than I'd long it . Still too expensive :) If you like that method so much you should go Buy Spanish Banks their really cheap and being sold off like mad right now.

26c down in the aftermarket. Not sure why we saw that quick $2 gain today, but I have a feeling it will drop down to the $26 range again tomorrow.

It had a large buy imbalance at the close - pretty common for IPOs to have buy imbalances at the close on the last day of the month.

I never said it would. And I certainly never said it would be there today. Or next week for that matter. I said it could not that it will. As to buying at ipo price who the hell didnt? And I am also probably the only person on this site that has continued to buy as the price has slid down. Do you want to know why? Because years of experience managing millions of dollars of client money as well as my own has proven to me that is how you make money in the stock market. When was the last time you invested in anything other than "herbs"?

Put your dick back in your pants, cuzz. Ain't no dick measuring contest. You don't see me spewing out shit about stocks cause I don't know shit.

Goodluck with yours goals, and don't get so agitated next time, its bad for health etc.:frenchman:

Just shorted 1,500 shares of Facebook.

Scratch that. Merrill Lynch ended up canceling the trade before the market opened. WTF?

So, I ended up purchasing put options on Facebook at a $29 strike price. Total of 50 contracts ~ 5,000 shares.

Rooting for Facebook to go down this week. I feel it may hit $23 by Friday.
