People talk about how much money they make, yet can't drop a decent tip?
When I was 15, I worked in a restaurant for 2 months. It was the worst 2 months of my life. I dealt with nothing but cheap mother fuckers. I was a good tipper before that experience, and an even better tipper after that experience.
People are so willing to blow their money on drugs, alcohol, and whores, yet you can't drop 20% on a good meal with good service?
I have friends who tip like 5-10% no matter how good the service is, and I'm always the last one to walk out because I have to put more money on the table otherwise I would never be able to go back there -- granted, I don't go to dinner with them anymore.
Rule of thumb for me has always been -- if somebody does a service for you, you tip them. Obviously that's not every service, but use your discretion.
