I've recently developed a pretty nasty problem. ive been sleeping 11-12 hours a night it i hate it. i wake up and half the day is gone. has anyone overcome this problem before?

Why are you sleeping in? Are you tired or just unmotivated to get up? Any depression?

make a plan for the the next day, its easier to get up when you have shit to do

i tell myself im going to wake up. but when the alarm goes off. i just get up, turn it off and go back to sleep. then wake up and say "fuckkkkk"

you need a routine, a reason to get out of bed. get on an exercise regimen, get some sunshine, get active. works for me.

Teh whole idea of making your own monies is being able to sleep in (unless of course you are yet to make teh monies), so what's teh problem?

I go to sleep and wake up when I want I fuckin love it.

Get up when you first wake up, even if you are tired. Stay up for at least an hr... if you want to have a nap later in the day, go for it. Usually when I wake up, I get "too busy" for a nap.

Hello friend,

While sleep to much leave less time for work it still better then no be able to fall sleep.

So maybe use alarm clock when need for wake up at time specific.

Good luck bro

Well, you're weak, obviously. You can't utilize your will power. The solution is just to do it. Just go out of bed when the alarm goes off. There is nothing more than that. It's the only way you can ever go from being a weak person to a strong person.

Get rid of the alarm clock, phone, computer etc from the room. Just go to sleep and wake up when you feel like it regardless of knowing what time it is.

I think the biggest change you can make it the amount of light in the room when you want to wake up. I changed rooms to one with much more light that comes in around 6-7 am and I have been waking up much earlier then I used to (and going to bed earlier). If you don't have any good windows that get a lot of light, you could set an alarm on some lights maybe.

Self control is the key.

Or you can try to think about something you really like to do a lot when u are awake and you'll be able to wake up at will.

You can also buy "wake up lights", lights with a timer. The light will gradually increase as the alarm time is nearing.

I had this problem for a long time, what solved it was to move the alarm clock far away from the bed, get two or three of them if you have to.

That way when they go off you have to get outta bed to turn them off then whatever you do...DO NOT GET BACK INTO BED.

It will only be hard for the first two weeks until you get back on a regular routine.

Problem Solved.

Yep, the adequate light in the room thing really works.
I leave my curtains open at night and I have really big windows (the sliding ones).
In the morning when the alarm goes off and I open my eyes to switch it off, the sun is staring at me right in the eye, it is difficult to go back to sleep after that.
