Patriots Clearly Still The Most Dominant Team In The NFL

I can't argue the fact that the Patriots look like the best team in football right now. Lets see what happens when playoff time comes.

It's easy to make excuses.

And for the record - since I think you are a Ravens fan. They are the ONLY team I wouldn't want to play in the playoffs, they ALWAYS show up against NE, and then shit a brick with everyone else.

Making excuses would be me blaming a loss on Brady begging for a roughing the passer flag.

As bad as the Bears played today, they are still #1 in the NFC North, so we'll see...

A lot of weird shit happens in the post season (but I'm not holding my fuckin breath, either).
I figured I would be safe to come here today (and avoiding the Bears MB), but this was the first thing I saw when I signed in. Sigh. Oh well, like you said, we'll see what happens in the post season. At least the Packers lost yesterday too, so it could be worse. Maybe this team just needed to get bitch slapped and it will end up being a good thing. Anyways, hats off to the Pats. They made us look like clowns yesterday.

And you lost to the Lions. STFU.

1. Rodgers got knocked out with a concussion at half. I highly doubt the Bears could have won that game with their backup quarterback.

2. We lost by 4 points, and that was the largest margin we have lost to all season. In fact over the course of the season the total amount we have lost by is only 16 ( 4 games by 3 points and 1 game by 4) points and you eclipsed that in one game, how does that taste? The Packers can play with anyone in the league.

The Bears still suck.

How does this taste?

Also, you realize that after we beat the Vikings next week and you get your asses handed to you by the Patriots that seals the division right? Good luck getting a wild card spot.

Ha is that the best argument you have? We actually stand a slight advantage that the Pats have clinched a playoff birth, that may play into our favor. The Vikings are playing heart breaker right now, and with a Giants loss tonight would put us right back into the hunt as we play them in two weeks.

Knowing Jay Cutler and the rest of the Bears team I can see the implosion coming.

Can you really use the backup QB excuse when the Lions started Drew Stanton? Cmon man.

Yeah they sure did, i hope we learned from our mistakes, and with the packs losing rodgers and getting smoked yesterday i was optimistic. Thought it'd be a better game at least, but they treated us like the jets, in our weather!

Back to the game plan, we got the toughest schedule coming up, and i'll be at the bears-jets game in the 45 yard line, club seats(yeah that' was a brag :action-smiley-052:)

Sure can, monster D on both sides of the ball, with backups going at it. The thing is no one gives any credit to the Lions but they are a hell of a competitive team this year. Hell the Bears should have lost to them in week one.

If you think next week is going to be easier because the Pats clinched then you have no understanding of the way the Pats play and are coached. You're talking about a team that was leading 26-0 with one play left in the half and instead of taking a knee, Brady throws a 59-yard TD pass to Branch to finish the half. While leading 36-7 in the 4th quarter, Brady was still in the game until the final few minutes.

Doesn't sound like a team that's going to let up at all just because they've clinched a playoff spot. Especially considering that they still need to clinch home field.

Oh I'm well aware of Belichicks mindset, which is why I said "may".

What wasn't said about that last play of the first half. The coaches were SCREAMING for Brady to knee, and he saw the busted coverage with Branch and went for it.

I <3 Brady

True, I did forget to include that. I'm betting he might have gotten a little bit of an earful for that one.

It says something when even the national guys, during other games, are forced to stop sucking Favre and Manning's nuts and admit that Brady is the #1 QB in the league - no questions asked.

At some point it just becomes too embarrassing for even ESPN to ignore, although you know if Manning or Favre(hell even Sanchez) were putting up the same numbers, it would be wall-to-wall, 24/7 coverage of how he's the Second Coming, Hall of Fame material, greatest to have ever played, etc..
