Patriots Clearly Still The Most Dominant Team In The NFL

Did you read anything I said? I stated that he wasn't THE BEST coach ever. Is he one of the great NFL coaches, yeah, but the best? No.

I know what you said, I am just responding that the argument is more up for debate than "hell no". His achievements stand up there with anyone all time. I don't believe Knoll, Seifert, or Shula are the best ever but I think you can make the argument with any of them.

It didn't seem you were going that route with the way you stated your words. He still lost my respect with the so called "spygate" scandal.

Why not? I'm not a Pats fan (obviously), but I respect the shit out of them and the way he runs that organization. Who was better? Noll won 4 but he had half of Canton playing for him. Walsh and Gibbs only won 3 (same as Belichick - for now). Parcells, Shula and Landry only won twice. I'll give you Lombardi - he only won 2 super bowls but he had a few championships too and changed the way football was played, but this is the guy they named the fucking trophy after. If the only guy that "might" have been better than Belichick is the one the trophy was named after then, well - I would say you're just being difficult. Belichick is a football God - deal with it.

I hate the Patriots, especially since they defeated my Eagles in the Superbowl.

That said, I respect what they did and what they continue to do, even with so many unknown players.

As much as I'd love to see the Eagles in there against the Pats this year, I suspect our depleted secondary and questionable o-line won't allow that to happen.

We shall see though -- keeping my fingers crossed for a follow up beating against the Giants this week.

If we get through that (I'm always nervous playing them), I'll like our chances of getting deep into the playoffs.

I think the greatest of all time argument is pretty much impossible to have, given all the changes the game has gone through. If anything, it strengthens the argument for BB. There has never been as much parity as there is now.

Anyways, I think any rational person who pays attention to the game can agree that BB is the greatest (or one of the greatest) coach of the "modern era". Guess it depends on how you define that time frame though. Bill Walsh is sort of on the edge of that who I personally would consider better. The difference to me is Walsh revolutionized the way the game is played on the offensive side of the ball.

Check out these numbers in the snow. Unbelievable:

Nam Y. Huh / Associated Press Tom Brady and the Patriots have been dominant in snow games over the last three years, outscoring opponents 142-14, including 109-0 in the first half. The Patriots in snow games, 2008-2010

Also should be noted that AZ that year got hot in the playoffs and played in a great Super Bowl. All is not lost Bears fans :)

I hate the Patriots but damn they are good. I am a huge Steelers fan and think the Steelers can get into the Super Bowl but they need someone to take out the Patriots because I still think there is no way in hell the Steelers beat the Patriots, especially at Foxboro, as much as it pains me to say. Hate the Pats but respect them. No doubt they are clearly the best team at this time.

^^^^Yeah, Desean does that all the time, but nobody can admonish him because of his talent. Or they just don't care.

I think everyone pretty much agrees that the Helmet-Catch Superbowl belonged to the Patriots and was pretty much stolen from them by an insanely lucky sequence of events. I know if I was a Giants fan I sure as fuck wouldn't have been proud of that win.

So that's four rings that we should have, but it's OK, we'll just get one this year and make it official.

The only reason why the Patriots feel entitled to that win is because the game was fixed for them to win and they still lost. That was pretty much the only time Vegas ever lost money on a Super Bowl.

Considering the associations to the Bush administration and the military establishment, it should come as no surprise that the Patriots are a bunch of cheaters whose previous Super Bowl thefts will eventually be outed as part the Wikileaks fiasco.

and with this retarded non-sense, I am out of the thread.

Just ask any Oakland Raiders fan and they will back me up 100%.
Raiders fans are belligerent, masochistic fucking morons. Trying to leverage a Raiders fan for anything but the ass end of joke is retarded.

"Exactly how are the Patriots the "Team of the Decade" if they were convicted of and admitted to admitted cheated eight out of 10 years? Why does everyone sweep this travesty under the rug? The Patriots cheated for 3 Super Bowls and got a slap on the wrist! Tom Brady is getting called one of the greatest QBs of all-time! Do we not have a problem with that? Did I travel to another dimension and not get the memo. Is cheating wrong for everyone except for the Patriots? When Patriot fans bring up their Super Bowl wins, the first thing you should say is, "oh, are you talking about when they knew exactly what the defense was going to do?""

They even named the law after them...

The New England PATRIOT Act allows officials greater authority in tracking and intercepting communications, both for purposes of law enforcement and foreign intelligence gathering.

Have you ever watched a Patriots game? How exactly is Brady cheating when he puts up 300+ yards and 2+ touchdowns almost every game? Is he bribing the defenders? Bribing the officials? I mean, I can see taping walkthroughs, but once you're on the field, it's put up or shut up. All the "cheating" in the world means nothing when you're getting blitzed or you're down 10 points and have to come back in the 4th quarter, as Brady has done countless times.

I think even the most ardent Patriot-hater would have to admit he is one of the greatest QB's of all time, or else they just haven't watched any games. It's really a thing of beauty to behold how he never gets flustered. Granted Belichick puts him in positions to win, but his superhuman calm isn't something you could ascribe to "cheating" or whatever else you bitches are whining about nowadays.

i will admit that bellicheat is a great coach because he'll do anything for a W and he's very clever in his schemes .. but you put brady on a team where he doesn't know whats coming at him and how to counter it perfectly for the first 8 years of his career and he'd be a completely different ball player..
