PhpBay vs BANS. Who wins in your opinion?

Thanks BB for pointing out McJiffy. That actually looks like a good parking setup for certain domains.

Not only that, but you can automate it's deployment yourself and create literally hundreds of subdirectories automatically, then generate a single sitemap.

It's literally 1 hour of keyword research, 1 hour of testing, and 110 seconds of waiting for the script to execute.

Indexed within 48 hours for most of the longtails. Use Digg for the longs that are also in the news, I found that really helps me rank extremely well.

I have StoreStacker, I've played around with it a bit.

However, rapid deploy with McJiffy is very interesting. Is the automation included, or is that a personal hack? Thanks bb.

I have my own scripts that automate the process.

I won't say since I've only used PHPbay and not BANS so it wouldn't make sense to say one over the other. I will say Wade and the support for PHPbay is top notch.

I just need to ask, what are you guys talking about "support". I bought PB Pro months ago and it worked perfectly out of the box. Is there another product he has? What do you guys do that requires support? Just curious.

From My personal experince I Had a problem with the ioncube loader and Wade walked me through it. I'm glad that he got rid of that.
I have a couple of bans sites then watched as they were dropped from serps. So I started using phpbay. I like it.
I just today started putting up some McJiffy sites today on some domains I have yet to put anything on . SO I guess we will see.

do you mind saying how you get them indexed so quickly if you are not using digg for all of them?

It's not always that quick, even for some, but Digg, sitemaps, and some other things all help. Had a server review indexed in 3 hours the other night with digg, been getting pretty awesome traffic ever since.

I get lucky once in a while, that's all!

have never used bans. but researhed it before i got phpBay.

phpbay is so easy to se and u dont need to know how to code (but some ability to customize helps). Also the plugins for wordpress will kae ur site way better.

plus phpBay is cheaper....

Google is really starting to hate BANS sites. First, they deindexed virtually all of them built on new .info domains. Now this is continuing on to older .com domains. This is apparently because they're the very definition of a thin affiliate site when you install it right out of the box. Adding content can help some but if you're going to do a content site anyway why not use phpBay and have the SEO advantages offered by a well done WordPress site?

I mainly use the free EPN sniplet widgets and RSS Feeds though. They work almost anywhere, WordPress, Blogger, plain HTML sites. They're flexible enough for my needs and convert very well on most sites. Knowing some basic web design and Javascript helps if you go this route.

Google does not hate BANS sites..

Google actively pulls thin affiliate sites, no matter what script or program they are using. Simply being BANS does not incur the wrath of Google.

BANS gets a bad rap because of all the numbnuts running around saying Google hates BANS. I have a number of all different kinds of affiliate sites and BANS isn't treated any differently than any of them.

phpBay has my vote hands down. I mentioned on his forum that there should be an option to select items with free shipping only. Before you selected it in the plugin options, and it was free shipping for all or none. He added a 16th tag so you can set each page individually for free shipping. I think he had the new update out in about 3 days. He really listens to his customers, and provides a solid product. Took about a week to get indexed, and am ranked on the first and second page for about half of my keywords. Already made some decent money.

Never tried BANS but have tried phpbay. It's awesome, seriously!

The customization, support and SEO benefits that you can get from running wordpress is unstoppable. Plus you can configure it to look like (or not) a store... very powerful.
