Guess I'll check it out again. I wasn't a big fan of the beta when I tried, but then again, I never actually saw any action. We'll see how this goes tomorrow. I don't like how SOE monetizes most of their games, but this looks pretty good so far.

This video is pretty close to how the game looks. 3rd person cinematics always make things look a bit cooler, but I'd say this captures gameplay about 90%.
 
Yeah hate to break it to you but I'm pretty sure Enclave is a Zerg outfit lol

The chat system in the game really sucks, hard to tell if anyone is trying to communicate with you. Just keep spamming me if I don't respond.
 
The game is better than I thought. It really shines if you play with an outfit or at least 4-5 other people in a somewhat organized fashion. Just joining a random squad every time won't really cut it. Also the system requirements are a bit steep. The actual shooting isn't as crisp as other games, but the experience makes up for it.
 
Dunno if any of you guys play Heavy Assault much, but I've been running the Resistance Shield with Nanoweave Armor with a lot of success, pretty sure it gives you a nice edge over other HA's 1v1.

I play Heavy Assault 75% of the time. Nanoweave is the best generic suit mod.

If you want to really have some fun, cert up to Claymores for your Infiltrator.

Land mines + hacking = epic trolling.
 
Been playing a little bit, though I need to upgrade my desktop computer badly - it runs pretty rough right now.

Been playing light assault - I enjoy jet packing up onto the walls of a base and murdering everyone from behind. Infiltrator would be much more interesting if my computer were handling the game better (it's weird that it can run crysis 2 at very high details and yet has issues with planetside 2..). Heavy Assault seems like it could be fun, but I like the jet pack way too much.
 
I screwed around with light assault last night, and it is good fun. They are great in Bio Domes for harassment.
