fuck movies, watch LOST, THE WIRE, THE SHIELD, SOPRANOS and sons of anarchy. Or prison break first 3 seasons, or 24.

Death at a funeral, the remake just got released to the USA - very funny. Almost identical to the UK version they copied, both are equally funny,

i just watched Office Space mentioned here- good stuff, so here's a list of random nuggets that aren't new/famous:

Sling Blade: old but excellent slow, brooding film with billy bob thornton

Moon: already mentioned and rightly so- excellent sci fi

Gummo: its shit really but very different, if you want something strange (no story, its shot in homemade documentary style)

Looking For Eric: not sure if non brits will like this but it is an excellent film with a nice 'real' vibe. starts off as a dull gritty slice of life and ends amazingly.

Naked: (type in Leigh at same time to find it): another english film- very good dialogue and lots of intense scenes.

Swimming With Sharks: very good little film with kevin spacey playing a cunt.

and just to lighten things up a bit: My Blue Heaven: Steve Martin playing a gangster in a crappy but good comedy.

and for TV: Breaking Bad is ridiculosly good, can't wait for it to be on tomorrow night, and Eastbound Down and Out is hilarious
