olesh999,

I'm in the same boat. They credited me a small fraction of what I was overcharged, and that was before I started getting charged for impressions that weren't served. With a big weekend ahead of us, needless to say I'm a little pissed, but from all my dealings with Ben and PoF, I expect they'll be straight with us on this and issue full credits where they're due. I've already lost nearly $10k from this glitch :(

It's a shame we're all missing out on the Friday night trade (not to mention the weekend if this isn't resolved until Monday...), but again I'm hopeful that PoF will be fair on this. Total bummer.

Yes they will be 100% straight with us I know. Ben and the POF team are good people. Im just disappointed that we will miss on weekend traffic and data. I think they will fix it before the weekend is over tho.....

If I count lost leads/sales/credits on the account Im on the same boat. Maybe not 10k but at least a good 6-7k :(

$6k? $10k? And here I thought I was doing good. :) If anything, the outage taught me that I need to explore more. I'm barely scraping what's there, lol.

Well, $9-10k is the amount that my account was charged, not the amount of revenue or profit I make on PoF in one day :)

I think the bug was just particularly nasty to my account, but checking this morning it looks like nearly all of it was added back. I'm sure Ben will get on this thread and explain everything.

Yeah, they certainly look to be on top of it. I received most of my money back today for lost or phantom impressions yesterday. Thanks guys!

Hopefully everything works out, as I'm quite new to this, and thus I've been pretty excited about testing and exploring this week...having to wait a few days to work is going to be a pain for that little OCD goblin within me.

Received all my money back...at least i think, BUT my ctr's & click counts are off(i highly doubt it can go from a lifetime ctr of 0.305% to a 0.025% while my campaign was paused! Clicks are the same, it's like my ads didn't got them)...There's still a stats problem going on :( Looks like it won't be a profiting big w-e afterall...

Still being charged even though all campaigns are paused! It shows an amount in Spent/Today even though the campaign has been paused for 2 days. And I only got a very partial refund so far.

Hey everyone, don't you hate it when routine maintenance doesn't turn out to be routine?

So we didn't settle any of the charges that came through on Friday. They might be being shown as reserved by the bank but funds were released back to you. If you got traffic during that time, it was free.

Meaning, your reporting may say you spent $, the card wasn't actually charged and accounts were reset to what they were before the error.

If you have any questions, please shoot me an email at ben@pof.com

Sorry, I should have specified: The charges that came through on Friday during the times where our system was incorrectly charging, were released back to you.

So, I received all my money bank and as Ben & Kim said the charges showing as pending did not go thru. So on my end is all sorted out. So I want to say thank you to Ben and Kim for a great support. They answered my questions and concerns on time and fixed the problem ASAP.

POF team = A + !

At Ad Tech NYC 2010, I'll be doing 1:1 account meetings to go over, in detail, ways in which you can improve your campaign's performance. These will be roughly 30 mins meetings where you'll get the chance to ask pretty much anything :)

Please email me at ben@pof.com if you'd like to book a time!

Axing one of the longest standing aff offers is a good way to drive people away from your platform, especially with zero explanation.

Some of us have long standing, custom relationships/campaigns built around this offer. Giving zero notice is pretty cool.....

If you guys turn around and retroactively start banning ads alot of people will go elsewhere.

At least give people the time to change over to other offers and test landers etc.

They're essentially a free model and other free dating sites are prohibited from advertising on POF.

Giving 0 notice would be making everything inactive and then letting everyone know.

Yup I would agree this is notice provided you now give everyone enough time to switch up their strategy.

In the past something has been communicated only for a whole wack of ads to go dead almost right after. I woke up to disapproved ads this morning so it looks like at least some of the disapprovals have already started.

I never ran Singlesnet through POF, but wasn't this already a longstanding policy? I have seen that brand extensions like the Singlesnet Single Parents offers, etc, were being run, so I can see how this will negatively affect some advertisers.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you guys run "prohibited" offers such as Singlesnet and Adult Friend Finder internally?

To clarify, we don't run any offers internally through the ad platform.

There are some links but those are exclusive relationships established long before I was even here.

I don't think there's a way to take all the ads off in 1 swift swoop so you guys have some time. And yes, disapprovals for Singlesnet has started... makes sense though, why would we approve now and then deny later?

Sorry for the confusion; I didn't mean to suggest you guys were running through the self-serve platform yourself. I was referring to the text-links that are present on certain pages. Those pages don't contain self-serve ads themselves, as far as I can recall.

Yes, they've been there forever but Singlesnet has never been in those spots.
