Just remember basically everything Microsoft launches is half assed and full of problems. I work in the cell phone industry for quite awhile and yes the new windows phones are among the shittiest quality around.

It takes 2 seconds for the command prompt to pop up after I press enter. That's no good shit. On XP, it took only less than a second. Something is fucking wrong with MY MACHINE.

Just tried it on a Windows 7 machine inside of virtualbox with only 512MB of RAM (on a linux host). Took less than a second.

Something is wrong with your hardware then, it opens instantly on my 5 year old PC with 2gb of ram. Same as my Macbook Pro running windows 7.

Windows 7 employs several technologies such as using free RAM to cache commonly opened applications so they open much faster. It is light years ahead of Windows XP which has poor memory management, memory leaks and blue screens, none of which occur in Windows 7.

I've had enough of this fucking 'bloated' buzzword. Windows has to work on MILLIONS of combinations of hardware out of the box and it does that extremely well, OSX only has to support their very limited numbers of hardware configurations. If you have any evidence to support Windows 7 being bloated apart from speculation and Apple ads using a fat guy to represent Windows, I'd love to see it.

Why don't we look up the opinion of XP at the time it came out?

Windows XP is a monstrous, bloated brute that requires a state-of-the- art PC and two gigabytes of hard disk space before it will even say 'hello'.
