Recommend me a workstation please ($1k)

Lol yeah.

Screw motherboard into the case = 3 minutes
Thermal paste/CPU on motherboard = 2 minutes
screw in Harddrive, hook up sata = 2 minutes
Optical drive, if you even bother = 2 minutes
Install RAM = 1 minute
Video card into motherboard = 2 minutes
screw in power supply, plug everything in = 3 minutes (unless your a fag with a windowed case and LED lights, then you're probably gonna fuck with the cables for 45 minutes here)

And these times are conservative, in case you've got Parkinson's disease or some shit.

Yeah, cause when you drop good money on a brand new build you want to rush it as fast as you can leaving your cables a huge mess so they impede airflow

Quit being a huge douche.

Then you realise you've left it until last to screw in the PSU and it wont fit past the other components on the mobo, :crying::crying:

In all seriousness, in the past everytime I've spent the time and effort to source parts and build my own PC, rushing to build it in 15 mins has never been a priority. Best to take your time, and do it right the first time.

Strawman argument, that's not my point. I originally stated it was really easy to build a PC. The fact that it can be done in 15 minutes, demonstrates that it is simple. Of course, it's better to take your time and make sure you do it correctly, that's besides the point though.

lol you must have lots of LEDs on your PC. I'm not being a douche, I'm just saying it's easy to build a computer. Do you even disagree with me?

No LEDs in my computer that were planned decorations. It doesn't even have a window.

No it's not difficult to build a computer, but rushing the build as fast as you can isn't good advice IMO for the aforementioned reasons (for example, I got my mobo mounted only to realize the Bluetooth arial needed to be attached to the board first). I'd rather smoke a bowl, pop a can, and take my time. I'm a bit OCD like that though, YMMV.

I probably spent a good 3 or 4 hours working on my most recent build, mounting all the fans, channeling all the wires, and generally making it as neat and tidy as possible. Did the same with the HTPC that I put together a couple months later. I think I've posted this pic a good three or four times here now, but once more can't hurt...

Add 10 minutes for headers, plus an hour or so if it's your first time putting an intel heatsink on. (if going with Intel)
