Anyone read this book? sounds like a must have.

One of the basic tenets of the Rich Dad philosophy is to make the jump from employee to boss. This is the book that shows you how to make that leap - in 10 easy steps. Everyone in business knows that you won't ever achieve great wealth by being an employee. The real secret to making money and reaching financial independence is to start your own company and develop it quickly. Millions of aspiring entrepreneurs are already convinced that this is the way to go - but they just don't know how to take those first few steps. In BEFORE YOU QUIT YOUR JOB, Robert Kiyosaki presents first-hand accounts of his own start-up companies and how he learned from both his failures and his successes. Along the way he explains the basics of: * How to determine if your idea is a good one * How to write a solid business plan and where to find Othe People's Money to help finance the idea * How to incorporate yourself for business and tax purposes * How to help you find key advisors to help develop your concept * How to best launch your product or service.

When I saw an infomercial that he ran that was the first and last time I cared what the guy was saying.

I read Rich Dad, Poor Dad, and I wanted it to be good so bad that I ignored my disappointment that there was no real substance to the book, and I immediately went on to another of his books, Cashflow Quadrant. When I realized that the 2nd book had no more solid content than the first, I gave up on Kiyosaki for good.

What was it that he said? I have a few of his books and I think alot of the content is good however it's very vague in alot of areas. I was a member of his website some time ago and I thought that was pretty crap so I discontinued my membership there.

His book is filled with lies. Good basic principals though.

Want to elaborate on the lies a little? I dont think you should make a statement like this without giving us a bit of detail.

I've read many of his books. I don't think they'll teach anyone any life changing methods for becoming rich, but they do serve well as motivation.

The core concepts of the book are good; not sure if its worth the time to read. If you are going to take the time to read a book there are much more informative things to read.

I haven't even read any of them, tell me if I'm wrong:

Rich people make the bulk of their income off of assets, not working time for money. You can do the same with stocks, real estate, and your own business. Put your earnings in assets, not "toys."

Is that good?

I've read quite a few of his books and I think they were quite good. I liked the information and I don't think it's a load of crap either. Is it easy? Hell no, but then again anything easy isn't worth doing because everybody will be doing it. I'd recommend the books.

Never mind reading Kiyosaki's book, it sounds like you wrote it! ;)
