same as USA and IRAQ and.. so what? nothing changes.

Holy shit, Israel just called up 75,000 reservists. This might be more serious than the usual yearly skirmish.

We might be saying goodbye to the Palestinians forever shortly here.

I don't know what the fuck this thread is about, but I read a few posts that made me want to pose this scenario, and a question:

During my first deployment to Afghanistan in 2010, our UAS discovered a warm body transporting a jug giving off a heat signature and carrying ball bearings (both were sure signatures of IED emplacement). As a member of TACP, we issued an immediate request for air support and engaged within 15 minutes.

It turned out to be a 10-12 year old girl (the villages we were near didn't understand the concept of time). She died, but we did confirm she was in fact emplacing a jug of home made explosives and ball bearings.

As it turns out, a common practice among our enemy was to plant IEDs in intervals, especially using innocents for the more risk taking tasks. They would hire a farmer to dig a hole. They would pay a pay a family to have their young child plant explosive materials. They would give an incentive to a young man to lay and cover wire. And finally, they would encourage nearby residents to film the potential impact of the IED for money.

They're smart fucks.

If your life is at immediate risk, regardless of what you believe to be right or wrong, is it unethical to eliminate that risk? Bare in mind, from a UAS feed, you see a warm body - not a 12 year old girl.

Hummus is Lebanese.

When you watch the Food Network here in North America, you'll notice that a lot of arab meals like hummus, couscous, falafel are labeled Israeli meals. Anybody that has traveled outside the US a bit knows that couscous is from North Africa (Morroco, Algeria, Tunisia), Falafel/Hummus are from the middle east (Lebabon, Syria)

I guess it sounds better on American TV to say "Israeli recipe" than "Arab recipe" lol ... it's all a marketing game!

I would not bank on israel winning this one
The Israeli Defense Force is preparing for a ground operation in Gaza, as Operation Pillar of Defense continues for a fourth day. Some 75,000 army reservists have been called up to prepare the offensive.

Israel bombed 85 sites in Gaza overnight
, including Hamas’ headquarters. Witnesses at the scene reported massive damage from the strikes.

At least 39 Palestinians have already been killed in the assault that has been going on for four days, Ma'an news agency reported. Seven of the casualties were children. Three Israeli citizens also died in the violence.

The Tunisian foreign minister is currently in Gaza to show his support for Hamas, and the Arab League will gather for a meeting later on Saturday.

Meanwhile, anti-Israel protests have taken place across the world, with demonstrators gathering to support Gaza in Egypt, Iran, and the West Bank.
The facts so far are against your bet.

I liked the part where you were invading a country and killed a little girl who was defending herself.

Fuck off.

How can you sleep at night?
