blogspotter, I think you're overestimating the intelligence of average American voters. Follow politics long enough and you will notice that the person who often wins is simply just the one who comes across the most pleasant or down to earth. Little things like McCain being flustered or Gore sighing during debates, these are what the public picks up on.
