There's a difference between killing for food, or maybe killing a deer here and there and then "we've killed 4,000 birds today", that's just fucking sick. And if you think killing 4,000 doves just for fun is manly, then you too are sick fuck.
I think the fact that you'd "blow his brains out without thinking twice" is far more disturbing than him shooting doves. As ly2 said, saying that a human life > dove life is retarded and is relative to who is answering the question. Any living species believes that their life is more important than another species. Next, just because we have the power to kill these doves doesn't mean we should. Damn, getting some temporary fun from taking the lives of dozens and dozens of living beings? Fuck that guy, he should have definitively taken a bullet to the back of the head for this shit. These doves, just like human beings do have a family that they have to care for, respond to; and he just whiped them out of existence just cause he could, and wanted. Same needs to be done to him, difference it's not a fair trade, only 1 family will be ruined compared to the thousands they killed that day.

Gotta say, if shotguns were legal to use where I live, I'd be blasting away like that. Fucking pigeons destroy all the shit I grow given half a chance. They'll decimate crops.
They are vermin, just like rats, rabbits, foxes and mice. They need destroying if you want to grow food successfully.

If you're asserting that killing [anything] is such a terrible act, how can you justify doing it yourself?
