So, oil fracking is actually pretty damn terrible

People are very impressionable they will believe anything you say if you can at the very least act like you are the authority on the subject. This is good news because this is how most of us make a living. What gets me is when affiliate marketers fall to the same bull shit. Power of persuasion and influence, time to get some.

The point of posting the image is to visually show you how far the actual fracturing of rock and the location of the oil/gas is from the aquifer. Fracking is not this issue, it is what happens with waist water when it leaves the pipe. Treatment of this waste water has evolved dramatically but still needs progress.

Yeah, I was referencing the handling of waste and the potential for seepage into our aquifers - should have been more concise in my post.

The mass slaughter of cattle is awful but it doesn't stop how fucking delicious they taste.

Until a viable alternative energy solution is produced, everyone can shut the fuck up about how awful fracking is. You still want your lights on and your computers to work. All that shit requires energy.

When you say fracking, are you talking about:

1. 3-d Seismic imaging or..
2. Horizontal drilling or..
3. Insertion of special fluids to increase oil extraction
or...
4. Fracturing the walls of shale to release more hydrocarbons?

Do you people even know what you are talking about when you say "fracking?"
Because I don't think you do.

Nothing will ever be 100% perfect or safe, but we need oil and gas and in the mean time we can tax the companies pulling the resources out of the ground and invest that tax income into better roads, schools and alternative energy sources.

50,000 people die each year on American, that's over a half a million people over 10 years. That's a lot of death but no one talks about banning cars.

who proved that? Gas companies?

I see where this is going. This is the part where I show you evidence that stuff from gasland is untrue and then you say. "Thats doesnt count because those people are paid of by the gas companies" I call it the Fuck You Monsanto Argument.

Is this reading
No, Nuclear is safe and effective OR NO Nuclear!! Meaning do not use Nuclear as it is unsafe and ineffective. Those one word sentences are hard to decipher.

He asked, isnt everything horrible, Nope. Nuclear is pretty damn great compared to all other energy sources we have. Nuclear does have down sides but not as great as the downsides of oil, ng, solar panels and others.

HTH

It still seems primitive to use this advanced knowledge of physics to practically boil water into steam and use it to spin a turbine.

At least photovoltaics convert the suns energy directly into electricity. They should be the focus.

I hope you left wing mush heads get the world you so desperately fight for.

This, in every hour and every issue, is your basic moral choice: thinking or non-thinking, existence or non-existence, A or non-A, entity or zero.

To the extent to which a man is rational, life is the premise directing his actions. To the extent to which he is irrational, the premise directing his actions is death.

You who prattle that morality is social and that man would need no morality on a desert island-it is on a desert island that he would need it most. Let him try to claim, when there are no victims to pay for it, that a rock is a house, that sand is clothing, that food will drop into his mouth without cause or effort, that he will collect a harvest tomorrow by devouring his stock seed today-and reality will wipe him out, as he deserves; reality will show him that life is a value to be bought and that thinking is the only coin noble enough to buy it.

There is a few different techniques with converting water to hydrogen. I am not an expert and will not pretend to be one, when it comes to hydrogen imo it has advantages that other "renewable" energy sources do not have.

Photovoltaic has 2 main problems that I see. If the energy isnt used right away, it needs to be stored. Batteries use rare earth material/metals that need to be mined and cost a lot. Photovoltaic panels also use rare earth material/metals.

Think of hydrogen more as energy storage and not a fuel source.

A nuclear reactor will produce extra energy, this extra energy can easily be used to create hydrogen. Hydrogen can then be used for spikes in energy and also sold as energy source for cars/transportation.

4 Rare Earth Elements that will only get more important.
A scarcity of rare metals is hindering green technologies.

I am not all against solar tho.
