STAY AWAY FROM NAMECHEAP.COM

I have 87 domains with Namecheap. no problems with them and LOVE their support. If you have 50+ domains with NC, tell them to enable coupon code GOLDDEAL for your account. great discounts on new domains and renewals.

"Currently" being the operative word. I had to deal with them for years, and they made the checkout process like dodging a minefield. They only just recently updated the backend interface, but it was one of the shittiest checkout processes for at least 5 years prior to that.

Like I said, I have no problem being upsold - it's a company, it's gotta make money. I do, however, take exception to being treated with no respect, when I'm the customer. Guess I'm a stickler for old fashioned customer service.
 
I have a ton of domains at both Godaddy and Namecheap.

Namecheap has been better in every category (price, support, etc.). I'm slowly moving all of my domains over to them.
 
This is the first time I have ever heard bad things about NameCheap. I have been using them for 5 years without a single problem.
 
namecheap is a reseller of enom. if you want to go thru hassles with their support when they tell it's something wrong with their "upstream" provider and it's not their fault go for it! otherwise go direct

Strange! But I never had any problems with them ever. I am sure they will never ignore you on twitter.
