And it seems that almost all of it is from Clickbank (ebooks) and anti-spyware/registry cleaner kind of stuff.

Is there more money to be made with CB stuff than with CPA? It seems like all the guys who brag about how much they make doing affiliate marketing make it from ebooks and questionable shit like that.

It's a combination of both. On the front end you sell the shady Clickbank crap and on the back end you sell physical products (as an affiliate)

Yeah I fuckin did laugh my ass off on this one.

Still his blog is interesting from time to time. I mean, how can you not love a guy who posts pictures with a women in see-through shirt?

yea.. if you put more energy in ebooks than you will be making more than other things. plus.. selling ebooks is still kinda cpa.

I don't mind the occassional "lifestyle" post, in fact I think they liven blogs up. However I think Amit has to many of them and not enough internet marketing related content.

Sweet jesus... those nipples are just huge... and oh so darrrrrk

I read his blog... I like it...
Albeit, he doesn't post tons of information on how he makes it... or what to do... or what YOU ARE LOOKING FOR

But... if it's not what you are looking for... do what you do on any other webpage... hit the damn back button.

Let that man live!

Get your own scratch!

Trippin on the next man, Dude must be doing something if you don't like him and you're still talking about him. Obviously he knows something or is doing something if "everyone" is linking to him.

No offense to the ladies but damn, criticizing and combing over this dude like a bunch of women trying on high heels!

Unless we can find at least 10 posts on this forum or on your own site that will generate $xxxx.xx or better when implemented AND be jaw dropping headspinning info. Sit down and STFU!

Don't player hate, congratulate!

Get money!

Everything else is trash!

If you get your jollies off bitching, then this is the thread to do it.

If you're unhappy with the state of things, do something about it, like bootmoney's parody...

all this hating could be used much more productively...

Well, I had subscribed to Amit's RSS feed soon after Geordie mentioned him on his blog, but today I unsubscribed. It's not that I'm jealous of him or "angry" about his lifestyle posts...it's great that he's making money online.

But the tone of his blog has become irritating. He has found ONE way of making money online, and he blogs like he's the king of affiliate marketing and his way is the best way or the only way. When the blog becomes more realistic, I'll start reading it again.

My major issue with his blog, is that he doesn't give any details. He'll tell us every last detail about his trip to Bermuda, but he cant give a single case study from an old no-longer profitable campaign? Sounds fishy.

I don't doubt he makes a nice living with affiliate marketing, but I am somewhat skeptical about how much he really makes.

He could still have a black amex if he spent 100 mil a year on PPC and only made 50k in profit, so thats not really proof of him being extremely profitable.

No one is angry or hating. We just said we don't like the tone of all his posts and how he tries to portray himself (and is portrayed by other bloggers) as the king of affiliate marketing, but posts 60% about all the shit he buys, 35% motivational, and 5% affiliate marketing. And that 5% is: "do these general steps and you will make money someday."

I would bet that 99% of people don't even know what Affiliate marketing is. 99% of the people who DO know what it is, are already doing it and aren't looking for a motivational speech. We want tips, tricks, time saving techniques, tools, etc..

The way he talks, it seems like he's gearing up to begin his career as a motivational speaker. If he is, more power to him. He's an excellent marketer. He barely posts anything that will help anyone make any more money, but he has people that hang on his every word and shit their pants a little every time he comes out with a new post.

No affiliate marketer in their right mind is going to give out their formula for success, but they should at least put out useful info if they want to keep their readers around. The only real useful posts this guy has put out amount to what has been said a million times before and most everybody knows:

tons of targeted keywords
tight adgroups
rotate ads
rotate landing pages
check your stats
dump poorly converting keywords
put the better performing ad up against a new ad and likewise with the landing page
check your stats
adjust bids
copy your campaigns to other engines
stats stats stats
test test test
rinse and repeat

Dude, give us the tools you use, shortcuts, methodology, the way you make profitable decisions about shit, etc.. We don't want your campaigns, but don't expect many people to stick around if you're just going to talk about how you swipe your black card through your boyfriends ass cheeks all day.

And everyone is wasting time in here. We are "Shooting the Shit."

I don't know, I'm good friends and have worked with a number of supers (guys who make $750k + in net profit annually) and for every one that would like to be known for their sales prowess, there's 10 that don't really care or would prefer to remain anonymous. It's a personal preference.

Personally, I think most guys are happy to be spending time with their kids and be living very comfortably with a decent, paid-for house and toys:) I'm happy to bump along in that 'lifestyle'.

There are a lot of new affiliates looking to make hordes of cash and flash though, and the readership certainly exists for those speaking to that sub-set of readers. Whateva...

U already doing all that stuff you listed?

If you talk to any successful affiliate, they say the same thing.

If their PPC campaigns are more successful, it's because they've been in the game longer, stripped out more of the unprofitable keywords, and have been tracking their conversions...

there's no magic bullet or secret formulas in internet marketing in general.

if you're one of the early guys to spam wikipedia with aff links or do the CL or myspace thing early, you'd bank, but you must be out of your mind to post it on a forum or blog.

you can already see that people are doing some interesting stuff with video and bubble ply, so spend a couple of minutes thinking up a few combinations to test out, try out a couple of things, test, track, compare...

" shortcuts, methodology, the way you make profitable decisions about shit, etc.. "

---do you post your own shortcuts and methodology here or on your blog?
if you do, point it out, and i'll be sure to check it out.
