TACOS $1.00!

I posted a thread a few months ago about the T-Mobile G1 and ended up trying one out and selling it because I thought the hardware felt cheap. Well it turns out the one I got my hands on was beat to hell, because since then I've played with brand new ones and they are solid little phones.

I've got two of them now, one for everyday use and one for testing purposes (installing modded versions, etc)...

Anyway, I don't know what the point of this thread is, other than to tell you guys to get this phone. It's not as pretty as the iPhone, but it does everything the iPhone can do and more. Android definitely has a big future.

Yeah. I'm late to the party.

I've played with it. I'll take my iPhone for now but in another year to 18 months when the next generation of android phones come out its going to be a very nice platform.

Yeah, I'm obsessed with Android (see link in sig). The G1 is all about functionality over beauty. I have an issue here and there but for the most part the touchscreen + keyboard + trackball + hardware keys is a pretty impeccable combination.

I'm really looking forward to the Samsung and LG Android Phones.

The G1 is exclusively T-Mobile in the United States and always will be. But, you can buy an unlocked developer version of the G1 directly from Google but it is relatively unsupported.

Sprint will be releasing an Android Phone later this year and AT&T and Verizon aren't even considering it at the moment. Although rumor has it that Verizon could soon be carrying the iPhone.

I saw your app hit the market the other day ;)

Haven't tested it yet but I like this one. High resolution FTW.

I'm sticking with my Blackberry for now. I wanted to give the G1 a shot, but T-Mobile hasn't gotten around to bringing 3G to my area. WTF, it's not like I live in the boonies... too much, anyway.

I hated my old HTC Touch. Loving the iPhone (which is unexpected, as I am not a Mac Fag), but looking forward to testing the palm pre.

Don't mean to Jack your thread but if anyone is interested, I have a brand new White G1 for sale. I got it for my wife and she never even opened it. It's brand new in the box and I can have it unlocked if you want to use it on another network (other than T-Mo).

The Price is $300 plus shipping firm. I should be able to get the unlock code for free from T-Mo since I have been with them for more than 90 days but I will have to open the box and to put the code in. If you don't want me to open it, you can pick up an unlock code on ebay for about 20 bucks.

The "gPhone" is sick. I have the black one and I love it. I update my Facebook ads and check my stats all the time with it. Its real fast, the only negative is the battery life isn't the best if you have WiFi on or GPS. Pm me if your interested.

Throw it up on eBay... They go for close to $400 right now.

android looks like it has potential, but the iphone really cant be beat for reliability, ease of use, and design.

ill stick with my iphone's 3g coverage for a while, but the google g2?? sounds like it could be a winner.
