Looking for suggestions on some preferably free (but not completely against paid) task/to do management software. Up until recently I was working for a company that had its own task management software that I could see being very useful for trying to juggle link building, posting, and other SEO tasks for multiple sites, which is what I'm doing now.

The main aspect of the software I'm interested in was that it had a do to list with various tasks we had to complete in so much time. The most urgent fell at the top of the list while those that were scheduled later or less urgent were pushed more towards the bottom. If the task was a "step" of a larger, multi-step task (which most were) it would then trigger the step following it to fall on the list.

This was a bit easier to all keep track of in the beginning with two or three sites but with more expansion it's becoming more of an issue. Anyone else use software or programs that do similar or have a system of our own to share? I can think of one (basecamp) which seems pretty nice and may fulfill what I'm looking for, although it's a little pricey and I'm not at the point of needing something for multiple people to be able to work on large projects, which is what basecamp seems more suited for.

Waste my time on you? Put this in your task management software;
"Remember to post pics with actual tits".

I think that Toodledo can do exactly what you want...you can set what criteria will rank so you can set due date as the most important and then something else like the priority you've set manually as the next important thing. Hope that makes sense.

Toodledo + 2DoApp for iPhone is a great combo for getting things done.

I used it for a while but I put too much stuff into it and when I took a look at it just seemed too much to do so I dumped it and started using Evernote + Evernote for iPhone to do my day to day Tasks and still use Toodledo +2doApp for long term tasks and reminders.

One thing though, Toodledo has an awful interface, if you can't live with it I would suggest taking a look at other available "skins". I use Toodledo - MacOSX - Themes and Skins for Toodledo - userstyles.org this one

No love for Work Flowy?

With work flowy you get a list program on crack. You also get @tags which i mostly use for dates. Everday type the date into the search box and you'll get the things yesterday you said he was going to get done today.

I'm also a fan of wunderlist. I use the two of them.

GQueues.

For time sensitive stuff if you have gmail it will auto-synch with your calendar and even send you an SMS reminder free. Works for me.

+1 for wunderlist, it syncs with my desktop, on my android phone, or my iPad. Its got a beautiful UI, its simple and you can share tasks with others and its completely free. Does the job for me.
