For anything to happen, America has to reach the tipping point where they finally figure out that the current 2 party system is corrupt and a major change is needed.
However, the current 2 parties aren't going anywhere. There will still be some who will vote Republican or Democrat until the day they die, financial meltdown or not.

They don't need to take them over, simply eliminate the smallest and establish control over them, similar to Hitler's strategy. The endgoal is destruction of the dollar, fossil fuel industry, nuclear arsenal, armed forces, and the wealth of the middle class. Once that is completed, you have a nation with no worthwhile currency, no manufacturing base, no military, no nuclear weapons, and no energy base. It's easy pickings from there.
I think the issue you're having with government is caused by the fact that you equate all incompetence with some sort of malicious intent. It's possible that the country is going to shit entirely because it's being mismanaged, not because "a secret regime" is intentionally trying to tear it down from the inside.
A good example of a company that has done this is RIM (the blackberry guys). No one in that company is trying to destroy the company, they are all just out of touch and suck at what they do compared to Apple/Google/Microsoft/Etc. No malicious intent at all, just incompetency.

Obama is more incompetent than anything else.. I don't believe he is malicious.. he has these academic idealistic vision that do NOT work in the real world.
we would like for them to work.. but they don't
in a perfect society communism would work..
I am happy Obama won.. since he will bring the U.S closer to the brink of correction quicker than romney.
looking back in history.. I find many of the turning points of historical change has been brought about by violence to some extent and civil unrest.
this may be what we need to in effect change.

The perfect world you describe is one not based in material reality. And if you didn't have material reality, communism would be a nonsense idea. Or at least, a more nonsensical idea than it already is.
If anything I'd be worried about all of the supreme court justices that are going to be retiring during the next 4 years. It'll be enough to make the court completely unbalanced. The first thing that comes to mind is more restrictive gun laws.
The average term length for a justice is roughly 25 years and the average age for retirement is 79.

Anthony Kennedy age 76 served 24 years "considered a swing vote"
There are also 2 judges that are considered liberal close to retirement age as well. He could potentially get to appoint 4 judges this term.
