The Decline Of Men

...but in my opinion women are usually a hindrance to success.

The WRONG woman is a hindrance to success :) Too many people get together with partners who don't share their goals and they end up picking at each other and subverting one another's efforts. If you can find someone who shares your goals and you each know your roles within that shared vision, a partner can be both a pleasure and an asset. There are plenty of examples where hugely successful men credit the women in their lives for helping them achieve greater success, find balance, and hold things together: Ronald Reagan, George Patton, and Bill Gates, to name a few...

Granted - not everyone is lucky enough to find that quickly. Or ever.

As far as gender roles are concerned...tradition becomes tradition because something about it works. In this day and age, women DO need to have the ability to support themselves and function independently, but the problem is that the people who fought for women went WAY too far and vilified pretty much anyone who wanted to adhere to traditional roles - many of which are positive and highly functional. The result is that most people seem to be aiming for some unnatural gender-neutral existence that leaves a lot of people unsatisfied.

Threads like this one are part of the problem, though. Until more people can show a little respect for traditionally female roles, there will be a tendency for women to want to avoid being associated with them. When women feel appreciated in those feminine roles, however, they'll spend more time "being women". It's simple conditioning, and it goes both ways.

Just because it makes me chuckle... :)

On a serious note, Bennett (author of the CNN piece) is going for the low-hanging fruit as a journalist. He paints with broad strokes, and becomes uninteresting in the process.*

Interaction between genders is always, at its core, interaction between individuals. The relationship you share with a woman (or, man, dog, Fleshlight, whatever) is a contract. Don't like what you're getting out of the deal? Walk away.

True for business. True for sex. True for life.

* Humor is different. I can listen to Chris Rock paint with broad strokes all day.

Yes. Feminism robs women of their feminine charm and makes men spineless rejects. It's by design, and will fail because it fights biology.

Plenty of men do respect the traditional female role - it's just that a large number of females do not get to play the role either by indoctrination (feminism at birth), by the state (welfare for single moms, putting the state as the head of household, fiat currency destroying single earner potential to some degree), by proxy (most young men today have no idea what being male entails), by choice (slutting around with alphas until they 'settle down' and cuckold a beta), or just by gross negligence through obesity and debt so no decent man would even be seen with them.

A bunch of dudes posting bitch get back in the kitchen is just a retaliatory response to a society where traditional values are removed, shat on, and both genders are left with nothing but bad choice. Like monkeys throwing shit at a wall as they are caged. It's just a sign of the problem - not the cause.

I am seeing a backlash though. Privately, many women will outright "admit" to me (as if it's a bad thing) a desire for the dominant man submissive woman role. All the stable and healthy relationships I see follow that pattern. Even outright pua uses it as a model since it biologically works.

It just bothers me to see weak faggy beta men and disgusting obese empowered womyn portrayed as the model du jour.

Maybe, if most guys were such pussies, Women wouldn't have to step up and take up the dominant, assertive, powerful role.

Maybe, if Men learnt to be Men again, it'd create a world where Women wouldn't have to pick up the slack left by a pack of weak, pathetic dudes.

Just a thought.

there is a correlation of decline in men and how advanced a civilisation is,

there are still "men" in certain industries like mining, oil rigs, etc..

much of usa is third world as well, like some parts of detroit. so there are real men there.

if you want to be a real man move to detroit or take up minin or someting

I would say its more about a mindset than physical environment

It always bother me that women still expect men pay for dates. I hate paying for dinner dates if there is no guarantee of sex.

Someone had to say it. I agree 100% and if you are a woman, then the men on this thread (apart from JakeStratham) need to learn how to think and a woman has showed them the way. Sad, but true.

Lulz...awesome.

I don't think this is the decline of men, instead it's the rise of women.

Men need to wake up and smell the roses. Success in this world is increasingly becoming more mental and less physical. We HAD a solid advantage over women when strength truly mattered, it's gone now.

It's really not a big deal, men just need to realize that they have to bring something to the table other than a penis.

So eloquently put. Well done.
