Johnny Manziel will enter the 2014 NFL draft, forgoing his final two seasons of eligibility at Texas A&M, sources confirmed to ESPN.

Manziel's decision was reported earlier Wednesday by NFL.com.

Widely projected as a first-round selection, Manziel is coming off his second productive season as the Aggies' quarterback. He threw for 7,820 yards and 63 touchdowns while rushing for 2,169 yards and 30 more scores over his two-year career at Texas A&M.

Manziel became the first freshman to win the Heisman in 2012, when he set an SEC record for total offense by accounting for 5,116 yards.

This season, Manziel set a Texas A&M record for passing yards (4,114) and finished 11 yards shy of becoming the first sophomore to account for 10,000 career yards.

Multiple sources told ESPN.com's Darren Rovell on Tuesday that Manziel has chosen Select Sports Group out of Houston to be his contract agency and LRMR, the firm run by LeBron James' business partner Maverick Carter, to do his marketing.

It is unclear, however, whether Manziel has signed with either firm. Once he signs with an agency, he will forfeit his remaining NCAA eligibility.

The Kerrville (Texas) Tivy High product is rated as the No. 14 player on Mel Kiper Jr.'s Big Board, and Scouts Inc. ranks him as the 22nd-best player. ESPN College Football and NFL Draft Analyst Todd McShay projected Manziel to go fourth overall in his initial mock draft of the 2014 cycle.

Hall of Fame quarterback Fran Tarkenton, who spent 13 seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, took to Twitter on Wednesday to express his excitement about Manziel.

I have a crazy idea that Saints can answer the bell. I say crazy because a week ago I thought they were the worst team in the playoffs.

In fact, I think they have a better shot at beating Seattle than San Diego does of beating Denver in their rubber match.

Every year upsets happen and we smack our foreheads like we've never seen one before. We see them all the time. Certainly every single week of the NFL season.

If you go to a horsetrack and see a 20-1 shot beat an even favorite and the rest of the field you'll see players physically react more than they would if St. Peter lowered himself from a cloud over the infield. Yet longshots easily take 2-4 races of 9 on a card.

I call this the FAG effect. (Fans Are Goldfish)

Man, you Bears fans are delusional. Cutler has never, and will never, outplay Rodgers. You know why? Because he's a much worse QB. He always has been, and will be for another several years.

I know it feels bad. I know you know your team did a bad thing signing him to a long term contract. Lets just be real, Cutler will NEVER get the same recognition that Rodgers will. Rodgers is considered by many to be the best QB in the league. Cutler is widely regarded as.... a bitch.

If you want to talk injuries, look at the Packers this year. I believe a much improved defense that suffered too many injuries. If you couldn't get it done this year, you never will. Cutler chokes to GB. Vs GB Cutler is 1-9, not very promising. So yeah, I'll keep the coach and QB that have got us a few Division titles and a Super Bowl. Hope you like playing second fiddle at best!!!!

BTW deep dish pizza sucks ass.
 
LOL, fuck the other teams- they should just go ahead and let the Patriots and the Seahawks play in the Super Bowl.

The Seahawks game was an ugly win. I just hope Percy Harvin is back next week, cause without him they have an anemic pass offense.

With or without him, Brevell is one of the worst offensive coordinators in the NFL. Any other RB besides Marshawn, the Seahawks would be done right now. His refusal to get tackled even with 8 in the box doesn't get nearly enough credit in how much it covers up Brevell's feeble game plans. Those fucking Russ bootlegs haven't worked since week 7, yet every third down....ugghh.

Interesting considering that is your conclusion when he has only played like 2 games all season with a total of 4 catches and 38 yards. I like Harvin and he will be a big asset next season, but he hasnt been healthy all year.

Same ole' result indeed, I'm still not impressed by the Seahawks. Saints didn't come up with the win but they certainly accomplished one of their goals: beat the fuck out of the Seahawks. Niners can do that and more.

The line for next opened Sea -3, moved to -3.5. I'm waiting until I can bet the Niners to win on the money line before I call my man in Vegas. Nothing there yet.

Eclipsed only by his coach.

No one ever gets on coach's ass about this but think about the superbowl last year. The Niners were first and goal to win the game (I think they had a TimeOut, maybe more) and tried four times to pass it in. Kap ran in a TD today just like he did so many times last season - yet when it was for all the marbles they didn't even try it once, just giftwrapped the ring for the Ravens.

Properly motivated now, though.
 
i know harbaugh is hated as well but i think he's a bit of a character and produces great GIFs so he gets a pass

i've watched NFL for years and never really followed a team or hated players but kaep has become my 1st hated player. which makes next weekend's NFC extra special as I want the seahawks to destroy him.
