If you slap this in to Google Translate you can (obviously) get a rough read of what they are discussing. Fairly interesting, at least for 10 minutes.

Ôîðóì óñïåøíûõ âåáìàñòåðîâ - Gofuckbiz.com

One of their affiliate networks, roughly translated by our friends:

So all you newbies that are trying to wrap your head around how big this is, it's fucking big. Makes you second guess how easy you thought this was, eh? GTFW.

Cheers

....Lol the ruskies want to make loads of affiliate cash so they can't eat italian food all day long at Mario's and sip latte at the Puskhin cafe....

I guess they love American style living after all :usa:

I read somewhere that Moscow has the highest concentration of $billionaires of any city on the planet.

My experience with the Russians is that most of the time they are involved in illegal shit, most notably all the fake anti virus programs and scareware that has made me some nice change for my offline business but not nearly as much as they are making off of their malware campaigns.

Prolly 2/4 customers say they paid them anywhere from $40-$70 and some are even proud to show me their new antivirus programs but wonder why it keeps asking for money, even though they paid....

It is never wise to talk shit about Russians.

It's all business.. I make money off of it and without it a significant revenue stream would be gone so I'm certainly not complaining! I should have better phrased my words though.

...Not saying this is you but I have found that alot of people confuse russians with other people from former Soviet countries - Ukraine, Latvia, Estonia, etc.

Alot of these people HATE when you call them Russian. But, they do speak russian though and you can get some kick ass programming talent in places like Estonia (where the Skype founder outsourced the development of Skype since it's only like a 1 hour flight away from SWE).

These people are hungry for success and want something of their own. They are happy to work hard too. Okay I am speaking of Estonians, Hungarians, Romanians and some Ukrainians here and probably for some Russians outside of Moscow too. I mean with all the money, wealth and consumerism in Moscow I would bet alot talented programmers are attracted to the quick bucks of blackhat - nonethical blackhat I would say 'cause there's a difference, IMHO, not all blackhatters are bad guys. Actually some of them are quite ethical and generous - smart as fuck too.

Anyway, what were we talking about? My ADD kicked in, lol....

Absolutely correct.

Agreed, they are incredible programmers. I remember when a lot of the malware directed campaigns came on the scene they were clearly not programmed by someone who spoke English, yet minus that fact, you never would have known. The malware was leaps and bounds ahead of that coming from the Western side of the Globe. Fast forward and now most of the time all the on-screen text has been perfectly translated and the level of sophistication (and subsequently the difficulty and time it takes to remove) not to mention their income.

Get it how you live ... you can be in the busiest place on the earth or one of the most oppressive places on the earth (not saying all of Eastern Europe fits this bill) and yet able to do things on a global scale... it's a beautiful thing!

I was actually thinking about learning Russian just so I can communicate with all the blackhats and dodgy affiliate programs. I bet it's quite hard to learn though...

If what I remember from my random content writing exploits is correct, Pimsleur is the language learning service used by everyone ranging from Ivy League Schools to the CIA. Probably will still take a shit load of a long time, but -- there you go.
