The start of the Ron Paul 2012 movement

Count me in. Let's develop a game plan for the types of terms that independents and fence-riders might be searching for and push this man. Think of all the fake news sites and review sites we use to push rebills - let's do the same thing to push Ron Paul. Don't forget - he's a darling at Reddit too, so once we put a game plan together we can bring them on board.

If we can convince the average consumer that a magic pill will make them lose 30 lbs. in a week, their dick grow 4 inches and that they'll be making $6,237/week working for Google, I'm pretty sure we can push Ron Paul to the front and fuck over his opponents, too. I thought I just saw an article on news9health.com about Mitt Romney killing a hooker back in 1998 but maybe I'm wrong....

LOVE IT. haha.

"Mom Saves $7,948 in Taxes a Year After Voting for Ron Paul"

I guess we'll have to get more creative, but awesome idea.

Exactly. Lets do it :)

OK so should one of us reg a domain and throw up a Buddypress install to use as a coordinated platform or what? Or should we just post on WF that we like the guy and hope he gets elected? If Wickedfire, Reddit and 4chan push in the same direction it could make things very interesting. Just sayin.

Sure, if I don't get a response back from somebody in an hour saying they're setting it up I'll buy a name and set it up.

Also once we have pre-sold them where were you guys thinking of sending them? I was thinking building an established MoveOn type site might be better because then we can collect a list and continue to push our information out (especially since the election is so far away).

I guess we can just get people who aren't sure who they want to vote for to find out about Ron Paul. Either through SEO, PPC or any other marketing. We can push them to future money bombs, videos, forums or have them join us.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Selling a political candidate (imo) takes more time and effort than a bizop. You can't just go right from a brilliant copy to a donation page. You need to plant seeds and continue to go at them for a solid 6 months before you start changing the way people think about such an important issue to them.

Due to ɔǝɟ regulation, you guys might want to consider making this a closed, private sort of thing.

Reddit is mostly liberal pussies. They'll be completely useless on this.

If you're trying to organize something on 4chan, remember that there's going to be a contingent who are 100% against it and then Ron Paul will be in their cross hairs. But they may go for the "let's destroy the 2 party system" angle. Still very risky IMO. We don't need libfags trending shit like "Ron Paul under investigation for CP" on Twitter for the lulz.

yeah I'm setting it up and I'll be PM'ing the info to people in this thread (won't be posted publicly).

So if you're interested in working on it send me a PM or post in this thread that you're interested.

Speaking as one of those liberal pussies, I would disagree. All you have to do is watch one of his videos on the TSA or the wiki leaks, realize you've never heard a politician who speaks logically and reasonably, how appealing that is and you've got em!

Besides, I've said it before, there's a huge liberal niche out there like me that are really concerned about the Right and their need to squish personal liberties but are also concerned with the financial problems that surround this country. (Socially liberal, Fiscally Conservative) Ron Paul fits that niche.

Edit: Your biggest challenge will be convincing them to be ok with a Republican invasion (other than RP) on Washington. That sits well with no liberal. Damn I wish he could run an independent.

Edit2: And since he will most likely die in office his VP needs to be as appealing as he is. And I highly doubt that's possible.

That photo probably made half the AARP membership jealous.

Dude takes care of himself. :)

Fell right into my trap. That's not actually him, and the quote is made up. The real Ron Paul is more like a whiney, squirrely conspiracy theorist; and he may be a great senator but he just doesn't have what it takes to get elected. Sorry.
