Things That Make You Go "Hmmm"

I spend all day baffling myself.

Why do washers and dryers of the same models take different amount of times to finish their cycles?

How come the left side of toasters never work?

If a germ lands on a flee, does the flee itch?

Why do shoes need socks to be comfortable?

Variations in mechanical fabrication of the timing mechanisms.

The heating coil is only on one side.

Yes

Because shoes are not made to be worn without socks.

Why does everybody say "It's the greatest thing since sliced bread" ... I don't think sliced bread is great...in fact, I can give two shits about sliced bread.

Ya, wonder what was the greatest thing before sliced bread?

Why do tourists go to the tops of tall buildings and then put money into telescopes so they can see things on the ground close-up?

Can deaf people still 'think' to themselves in language?

Why does the U.S. Army refuse to upgrade their 5.56 ammunition to a lead-based, higher-performing bullet, because they don't want the bullets to contain lead, and thus be unhealthy?

Who does do? ;)

How come when you pee it always rotates a quarter counterclockwise turn before hitting the toilet?

How come when you call customer support the automated msg asks you to punch in your account number to help speed up your service, then the moment you get the operator the first thing they ask for is your account number?
