Torture Works - Now Shut The Fuck Up

Sigh...more tired leftist drivel...Let's wade through this garbage, shall we?

some still can't see through the smokescreen.

you're paying for the idea fed to us by blatantly, unabashedly biased news sources that tell us that terrorism is the most pressing problem facing humanity today -- and for good reason.

you’re constantly reminded of the threat of terrorism to humanity, and the need for your support through taxes to combat it.

and now you've been told, sold, and reminded that you need to support pro-torture legislation to fight terrorism.

damn good marketing, that's how.
and a heckuva lot of ya'll bought into it -- hook, line, and rebill.

Here the leftist plays his theme...terrorism has been SOLD to you. You've been DECEIVED into buying it. It's all about 'marketing'. It's a 'smokescreen' fed to us by 'blatantly biased' news sources. Ahh, yes of course. How could we unenlightened sheeple not see the truth, oh great one?

Of course, in order to allege a conspiracy, you also have to fabricate a reason for the conspiracy. I wonder, wonder what it could be?

the idea that torture works, is profitable.
the idea that we need to harm another so we won't be harmed, is profitable.

torture pays. not just to cut a check to all the jack bauers of the world. not just to increase the budget of those kooky cats in langley brainstorming the Next Big Thing in the enhanced interrogation vertical.

it's profitable, because it's a self sustaining market.

and counterproductive.
and damn profitable.

forensic evidence and rational inquiry aside, what dem terrorists did in NYC resulted in more violence.
and you're paying for it, to the tune to about $2,000,000,000 a week.

all of these funds come out of your pocket, through taxes.

...we justify the allocation of more than 50 times the amount spent on humanitarian aid to military projects to fight this war, on terrorism...

Of course. It's those evil, greedy military contractors. It's the greedy CIA. It's so the U.S. can 'cut a check to the Jack Bauers' of the world. It's all done for money. A nice, neat little conspiracy tied up with a bow. The media, who is somehow complicit in this too, feeds you the story in order to divert government money to the CIA in order to unnecessarily rough up people.

Why? Money.

Wow, seems like a lot of work to drum up some cash. But leftists generally have no limits on how big they make their conspiracies, nor do they worry about evidence. The accusation is all that matters, delivered in a grim knowing tone, complete with shades of 'seeing behind the curtain' and knowing the REAL truth.

After this idea of the 'conspiracy' has been planted and the predictable motive supplied, the leftist ends with the coup de grace. Where should our money be going? Not defending American citizens, you deluded fool. Why, countries that have failed their people of course!

in just one day — yesterdayacts of poverty have been the cause of death of more men, women, and children than all the acts of terrorism in the last ten years combined.

...that’s not to say terrorism isn’t a deadly, vile threat to humanity also...because it is. it’s a horrible thing...

but green lighting more horrible things in response to a relatively insignificant horrible thing, is horrible.

facts are clear. reality says terrorism is not a big deal.
can we stop doing heinous shit to people in the name of it already?

And voila - there we have it. Terrorism is relatively 'insignificant' and not a 'big deal'. Stop 'buying' into all the 'marketing', you stupid people!

Don't you see its all about 'cutting checks to the Jack Bauers' of the world? And funding those evil arms corporations?

'Terrorism' is all a big scam. It's just 'sold' to you by the media in order to 'increase the budget of those kooky cats in langley brainstorming the Next Big Thing in the enhanced interrogation vertical'.

Jeez, you guys! Why can't you see the truth like I can?? Why don't you care about...sniff..the kids?

^that is the you don't know what you're talking about bar.
It appears below any statement you can't support or have no way of realistically knowing.
Please feel free to play again when you're not making shit up, or when you know all our tactics and techniques.

The audacity of people in displaying their embarrassing ignorance never ceases to amaze me.

Here's the deal: Obama ordered the release of memos that show how far we're willing to go in interrogating detainees.

Here's the FORMER DIRECTOR OF THE CIA slamming Obama's decision to expose these techniques to the world, in effect revealing our entire playbook.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9A7TDdaCOoM"]Here's Michael Hayden, the former Director of the CIA who witnessed firsthand the valuable intel gleaned from the use of these techniques, absolutely slamming Obama's decision to do this[/ame].

Before, it was media leaks and random articles that showed a hazy outline of the interrogation process.

By Obama ordering the release of these memos, every terrorist in the world knows exactly how far we're willing to go. We've clearly defined what our limits are. They know we'll never break bones. They know we'll never kill them. They know we'll never cause brain damage.

Now, Obama has ordered a moratorium on even those harsher techniques, meaning we won't even go that far. That means every single terrorist captured has absolutely nothing to fear. They know they don't have to give up a single piece of information because nothing will happen to them.

This means we'll never uncover their plots, which means now they have a far greater chance of succeeding. Obama has just made this country less safe. I stand by my assertion that because of his foolish actions, we will experience a terrorist attack of far greater magnitude on his watch.

Not a false flag like you kooks believe, but a real, orchestrated terrorist attack. It's coming; you can mark my words. Some of you retards don't want to believe this because you live in a fantasy world where all you read and believe is the New York Times, or you're just ignorant like this stupid fuck who responded to me, but you can't change reality. It's coming.

Oh yeah, I'm still wondering why everyone's remained remarkably silent on this method of 'interrogation'.

Edit: I'm sure there's a lot of (ex) hackers on WF. So to you guys I'd ask if you want this kind of behavior to become commonplace at a time when computer security is so quickly becoming a "national security" issue?

Oddly, I was thinking something similar when reading through this thread as EVERYTHING pushed by the government is a slippery slope.

My analogy had to do with being in possession of a proxy that was used to ddos something like the fbi. Terrorist? Torture? Hmmmm....

I'm against everything big government so war, government agencies, etc are evil. Plain and simple.

Think what you want about the pros and cons of waterboarding. It's just a distraction from Uncle Sam raping his own country of rights, money & dignity.

Dude I'd tell you my mom was a terrorist if you tortured me enough.

It doesn't work.

Wrong.

Torture works when you have a specific person (terrorist) who we know has SPECIFIC information about an impending or previous attack. The term torture has been obliterated by the FAR LEFT media (NBC & NYT) to include "discomfort". Special Military personnel are often waterboarded themselves before service. If we use these non-lethal methods on our own military personnel, a terrorist who has killed innocent people can deal with it. Derserves more then that.

The audacity of people in displaying their embarrassing ignorance never ceases to amaze me. [..]
We'll see.
Here's the deal: Obama ordered the release of memos that show how far we're willing to go in interrogating detainees.
By the way, now that Obama released ALL of our techniques to the media, we've shown the enemy our entire playbook[
You see? When you clarified even you don't agree with you.

If you think that's the CIA's entire playbook is hiding the "how far will we go" card...wow.

And when you're proven totally wrong, cast another baseless allegation of duplicity regarding the CIA with absolutely ZERO evidence to back it up. The amount of paranoid people on here that have seen too many Hollywood movies and think the CIA is fucking God is amazing. Hear something that conflicts with your ideology? "Uhhh, dude, are you really gonna believe what the CIA says?"

Impressive.

Lmfao. Man I needed a pick me up today.
We have been pumping billions and billions of dollars into the CIA every year for over 50 years now(since 1947).
If the best they've come up with is slamming someone's head into a wall with a neck brace on, I coulda introduced them to a few drunks I know for like $20.

Come the fuck on man. I'm not a tremendous fan of the alphabet club, but the people at the CIA, FBI and whatnot are very, very good at what they do.

Wow, seems like a lot of work to drum up some cash.

Actually, it's not much more work to get the masses to dance to your tune than it is to sell Karen Krispy Kreme on an Acai rebill.

On another note, I do think threads like this have a purpose. They help me keep a good list of who not to invite to grab a drink with at conferences. :batman:

...

If I ever get around to attending one.

wait a sec. I'm a leftist?
how'd that happen?

in an attempt not to fall too deep into the irrelevant, I'll try to keep this brief:

hellblazer, dude. brother. broham.
dehumanization is not an effective method of debate.

it only reinforces your position to 'your side'.
if that's all your after, great. mission accomplished. popeye will buy you a beer, I'm sure.

but you won't change too many minds by sticking a few labels on me and firing off a patronizing deconstruction of the least relevant parts of what I've said.

my entire post was pretty tongue-in-cheek, because this whole 'us vs them' thing is a huge joke at its core. terrorism, torture, fear, and the divide between 'right and left' is the real-world implementation of old ideas that powerful men say is necessary to keep the world 'civilized'.

and yes, you've been sold on it.

your beliefs today are the product of a lifetime's worth of propaganda.
you've been marketed these ideas your whole life.

and here you are, on a marketing forum, trying to justify your belief that you'll lose weight fast. just pay shipping.

me? I've been peddled other ideas. and my shamwow is better than your snuggie, of course.
because it's mine.

this is what I'm driving at -- not that torture is good or bad. because it's neither. it just is.

it's not bad until you imagine that you, or your children, could be tortured.
not because you're a terrorist. but because of something as 'harmless' as a clerical error.
or jealousy. or contempt. or misinformation. humanity's fallibility knows no real bounds.

if you can step outside your head a sec and see this thread, this 'debate', for what it really is -- you'll be rewarded with far more than the feeling you get when you think you've put another pinko commie leftist in his place with practiced political rhetoric. it's for the children. remember the children. so it goes.

I'm starting to think that WF is overpopulated by rednecks.

starting????

there are some intelligent conservatives here, and then there are many who must have a bet going on how far they can lower the bar

You're retarded.

Ahh yes, the 'intelligent conservatives' who are unlike those uncouth 'rednecks'. They must be like those bitter people who cling to their guns and religion.

Really guys America is a country of torturers and your alright with that? Could you torture someone in front of your mom or grandmother? That is your first clue you know it is wrong.

It is wrong if they are really a terrorist, it is wrong if think they have information, it is wrong if you know they have specific information but just some detail you don't have like the date. How often do you think this really happens? The NSA and CIA have shit you have no idea about. Terrorists often send messages on broken encryption or use satellite phones with traces running. We have ALL the data.

The FBI knew about the 1993 WTC bombing and had to help organize it so that it would actually happen. Then they decided not to stop and arrest people beforehand. They didn't get any of that info by torture and that was 1993 technology.

And the odd fact is that most people detained and tortured DONT HAVE DATA. Shit they are not really even terrorists. Most of them are actually innocent: Most Guantanamo Detainees Innocent?

OK I will put this in WF terms:
What if you rented a shithole apartment above a bar. And one Saturday someone shot at a cop driving by from downstairs. 40 police show up and interrogate everyone. You're nervous, it shows and you got some weed in your pocket. Did you know about the person shooting the cop? Do you know about shootings in the future? No and No. Then why the fuck should they move you to the other side of the world and torture and jail you for 5 years?

Well the US was also warned by many other agencies about impeding attacks of 9/11 and still did nothing. Coincidence, I think not. Pushing an agenda, I think so.
