US Citizen Killed on US Soil by US Govt.

If someone pointed a gun at you, and wouldn't drop it, what would you do?

If an armed person rolled up on your property without invite, crossing through your gate, and pointed their gun (one of several in their vehicle) at you without provocation, wouldn't you point yours back?

75 year old dude who has a *girlfriend* who lives in a *mansion.*

Not a bad life.

Anyone think it is suspicious that the neighbors heard him and his girlfriend fighting? Isn't a mansion supposed to be big and, therefore, you can't hear what is going inside the house, through the yard, and across the fence?

Yah.

And he got shot. So... yeah.

Everyone in 'Merica knows that if you see a person wearing some kind of uniform then you must:

More likely to win the lottery than have that happen here. Hypothetically speaking though, I've seen enough movies to know not to point even a banana at American police as they might mistake it for a WMD and shoot me 18 times.

If you point a gun at police then what do you expect. Have your day in court if you don't think it's right, but if you're drunk and the police are at your door investigating a potential "domestic violence" situation and you're pointing a gun at them... well good luck.

If you were a cop and got called out to that shit what would you do if some guy started pointing a gun at you?

The guy was drunk and did something stupid. Now they're trying to twist the story around like he didn't do anything wrong.

Hate the police all you want, but they have to investigate domestic violence situations. For all they knew he could of been beating on his wife ready to kill her and he pulls a gun on them.

I hate when the police overstep their boundaries as much as the next guy, but this guy obviously wasn't in the right state of mind.

I'm forever amused by how a few of you assholes completely ignore the logic brought up that conflicts with the original story and jump right into scenario speculation crap...

I hate to break it to you but the government has been killing citizen for years.
Kent State in the 70's. In fact in the 1800's Law AND Order meant that the killing of outlaws and people of color was completely legal. It has been only since the early 1900's that killing has fallen out of favor. Reason people all upset these days is the fact that we no longer trust the government has our best interests in mind.

The guy had a weapon, what's the shock for?

Far more sketchy is the guy that will beaten to death by cops, while restrained, in CA this week.

Someone posted a film about an arms dealer on here a few weeks ago (can't remember the name) - there's a good quote in that about not pulling out a gun at a fight you're not gonna win.
