I love/want/basically need the iphone, but i don't have a job and my mom pays for my verizon service.

I was pumped for the droid x, then i saw it, and its a fucking monster. next best thing is droid incredible. It still baffles me that the iphone is so smooth when browsing an pinch to zoom, while these android phone look like my computer from 1997 trying to play half life. theyre slow an choppy..

I have the blackberry storm now, and have almost thrown it against a very hard surface a number of times ... what are you using? and how do u like it?

i will never ever never ever ever ever buy another blackberry in my life. IMO worst phones & OS ever created ... like i don't even know how they have market share. "YO Blackberry 2001 called, they want their OS back!"

I have had both the iphone and the original droid and honestly just because the browsing experience is sub-par does not mean the phone is any less efficient at its tasks. Android devices are definitely lacking in app quality, but besides that they are great phones and I was seriously considering switching to verizon/htc incredible but then I found out there was gonna be a new iphone so I didnt.

Go with the incredible on verizon, you wont be disappointed.

As to everyone dissing blackberry, unless you have worked for a business that uses the enterprise server then you really dont understand why Blackberry has such a huge business following. It's always been the quality of the keyboard allowing professional business correspondence to be typed out no matter where you are with the security and reliability of their enterprise server (you know, so when you send an email to a client other people cant see it, kind of like SSL for emails) that appeals to the business world.

Galaxy S
- play any video format you like.
- super AMOLED
- very very fast
- Flash 10.1 support in the next few weeks.

I am rocking the Droid Incredible and it is pimp. Fast as hell and user friendly. Went to this after I had it with my BB. Only downside was that I had to wait a month for my Incredible to get in stock and to me. Android for life now...what iPhone??? lol

On a side note, i just fell in my pool like 20 minutes ago w/ my phone in my pocket .. now its not working .. haha

thats the thing tho ... my two biggest concerns are apps, and browsing experience. i was checking out the Android app store in the verizon store and none of their apps seemed to compare to apples. the games were sub par, and there was nothing creative/cool, not to mentions the UI on all the games were lacking. As far as browsing, i mean the iphone just nails it with scrolling and pinch to zoom. the incredible just felt well not enjoyable, although it's definatly capable.

Original droid, want to check the X out - though I hear it's like a brick in size.

I would personally rock it, but it is huge. it feels weird holding it at first, but getting used to the big screen i think would be easy.

I can't get away from BBM, on a blackberry curve.

I seriously dont get it? whats the great thing about BBM? i have it, and i literally see like no advantage to it, its just like texting, just takes another step to get to

You need a man's purse for the Droid X - it's that big ;). I do have the Incredible and love it, but I think that is the limit for me when it comes to Smartphones (at least for now). The Droid X is really nice, but I do not want to carry a brick around.

International messaging without the fees is the big one for me, more capabilities than SMS or MMS. Doesn't take another step if you put it in your shortcut bar. Easy to block unwanted messages with it.

I've been using the same bb curve 8330 for three years and it's the best phone I've ever used. I think it depends on what you need the phone to do.

browser experience, gaming, photos, video - iphone, droid coming on strong but not quite there yet.

messaging, bbm (which does rock), and the need for buttons - bb

Does anyone know if the droid incredible has the magnifying glass feature like the iPhone? I know the X does ...X is still cool tho but it reminds me of a new version of the old Gordon gekko phone haha

What do you mean with magnifying glass feature? Zooming in on websites or emails? It sure does.

If you haven't turned it on yet... don't.

Remove the battery and let the phone and battery air dry for a few days. Reconnect the battery and it may work.

I put my phone in the washing machine a few years ago (12 hours before I had to catch a plane to New York :angryfire:) and it worked fine after doing this. Turning it on with water all up in it fries a circuit or some shit (or so I've heard).

Oh, and to the OP: Droid, Droid X, or Incredible. All of the Android phones by Motorola and HTC are pretty cool. Personally, I prefer Android phones to Blackberries (and iPhones, although obviously not available from Verizon).
