I thought libs were against capitalism and making money. If that's the case, what the fuck are liberals doing on an internet marketing forum, where the primary goal is to stack as much paper as possible?

I agree, and taking my tax dollars to pay for an illegal war. If its going to come down to having to pay for everyone to have health care over fascism and war profiteering then I'm taking the side that still cares more about personal liberty.

im not parading it, im saying between the two it doesn't bother me as much. And I don't think those scenarios are realistic so I'm not worried about them. If I was really thinking the government was going to ration my alcohol intake I would have the same attitude but I don't think its going to happen. And it was the "conservatives" who got alcohol made illegal the first time.
See I think social conservatives do a much better job at eroding liberty because they are playing the moral angle over the "rational" angle that you are illustrating above.
Can we just get a viable personal liberty party that values that over everything else already and tells both the hippies and the fundies to fuck off?
I suppose only time will tell if ObamaCare is or not the first step on the slippery slope of Big-Brotherism. I for one would rather not stick my head in the sand over it and address it now before it kills us (the proverbial boiling of the frog).

How are you defining "big brotherism"? If you refer to the surveillance procedures in title 2 of the patriot act, that's about as close as it gets to the Orwellian definition of big brother.
