The thing in the BST that annoys me isn't all the people with under a 100 posts, it's the people with over 500. So many "brand names" offering overpriced services. Charging a fee for the BST isn't gonna help, it's just gonna bring more of those, and less of the people that offer real value.

This reminds me of when people get mad a Facebook cause their profile changed.

It is funny how every half-assed service providers' solution to the "problem" of bst is to turn it into a poor man's warriorforum. Also funny how the marks here can't tell a scam from a legit service and think somehow a scammer won't pay $5 for a thread to chump 10 of you out of $17 for backlinks to your stupid MFA sites about lawnmower parts.

I have said it earlier and would say again that the forum needs to be fair to the buyers and sellers both. More to the buyers actually. If you make a plan to kill and discourage noobs, the buyers are going to miss out on some affordable and quite a few times useful services. Setting a minimum post count will lead to semi-acceptable posts that will be quite lame but not lame enough to get the poster banned.

One can clearly see sellers are more unhappy about the new competition than the quality of the bst forums. No doubt there is some crap in the forums, but the mods are doing a pretty good job even without getting paid. I don't know why y'all complain so much. Wickedfire is the sweetest fire I've ever seen

I has solution!
1) Block India as a whole. The marketers from India who actually have a name in the game can afford a VPN/socks5 to bypass this, the ones who are fine with making $0.02/day will go back to DP.

2) Invite only? Exclusivity could be good. Closing registrations right about now would be good anyway, considering the whole Global recession/meltdown about to occur.

3) Trolling++ :ak:

I like the competition. Keeps em' honest. There is something to be said for balance, but the ban hammer is pretty strong in this forum which you don't see on many others.

But then again, maybe "my nuts haven't dropped yet"

+1
A confidence trick is an attempt to defraud a person or group by gaining their confidence. A confidence artist is an individual working alone or in concert with others who exploits characteristics of the human psyche such as greed, and the thought of trying to get something of value for nothing or for something far less valuable.

At the end of the day most of the scams are just US being stupid. I only have 200 or so posts but I have learned, by losing a shit ton of money, that I am not going to buy anything from someone who just appeared. There are a TON of high rep providers.

These Con artists arrive, make nice for a while, gain some iTraders, then drop a great deal. People jump on it because we are greedy and then find out it was a scam. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it is most likely bull shit

There's no preventing what you're touching on. Most people in this industry would rather spend $100 trying 4 low-rep, low-cost services (in the hopes of finding a hidden "cheap" treasure), than spending $100 for one person who can get it right the first time.

In other words, new people coming in offering rock-bottom deals and undercutting everyone else will always be welcome.

Sometimes you have to pick and choose where to be frugal:

Going to a farmer's market to save money over supermarket pricing makes sense...

... linking your money site to some random links from a "new kid on the block" provider who has no history = Dumb move.

... forking over money to a writer who has little to no reviews = Dumb move.

Will the majority of people on IM boards ever learn?

No way! Being cheap is a disease that's formed throughout your formative years... and it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks. This is just how business is: Some people are real idiots to talk to (hence stupid posts) but are great at what they do.

How can you bitch about a forum that charges nothing, asks for nothing and doesn't display a single ad? Making people pay for creating threads will turn this place into the warrior forums and it won't stop a damn scammer from scaming people. If anything the price will give people a false sense of trust because a scammer would never pay that 10$ fee! Anything higher than 10$ and the whole BST would be wiped out except for the few crappy services some of you peddle on here acting like your hot dog stand is so much better than the next guys even though your selling the same shit covered product.

I'm sorry but if buyers are unintelligent enough to buy shit services then they deserve to be ripped off. This is business and if people want to make poor business decisions let them. Buyers, use your fucking common sense before buying content or links.

Sellers, want more business? Provide your customers with some fucking value. The competition is heating up here. If you want to survive provide a quality service for your customers and you'll do just fine. It's that fucking simple.

TL;DR capitalism

* As a completely biased protectionist.

300-1000$ a month to sell. - Links and seo only- Keep content open.
Put some extra peanuts in Jon and the mods pockets. They deserve them.

Theres no reason to be like everyone else. If people want cheap piss they can use fiver or any other indian hang out.

Wickedfire as a place to buy cheap links is a lot less appealing to me then wickedfire as a place to get the latest in bad ass link packages that actually work.

Go to the links & SEO section of BST, sort by highest replies first. How many threads on the first page were started by Indians?

Good point!

Why you gotta make it about race? Not sure why I'd expect more from the twat who thought posting pics of the twin towers in a terrorism thread was a good idea but why turn this into something it's not.

People want to buy shit that works, that's why Sarkar's (didn't work for me but I know too many people it did work for to doubt it) and Amit's (always works for me) threads are at the top when sorted like you described. Good SEO has nothing to do with country of origin and everything to do with good SEO.

Blah . Blah . Blah . Blah... If you don't like it here go to your shitball forum. GTFO

Seriously this thread should be closed. Pointless!
