What is or was your day job besides affiliate marketing?

IT Helpdesk for a decade at a few fortune 500 companies, then started my own string of internet bizzes that all paid bills but didn't make me rich. All kinds of crap like dropshipping storefronts, selling SEO to local bizzes (way before it was cool) and a real estate investors "birddog" service. All the while, since 1993 really, my number of small Adsense sites were growing. Whew.

...That and I was a Lesbian-only porn fluffer.

I sold credit cards to the elderly. Since its a first post guess I gotta give you a pic.

Fuck, had a lotta fairly weird jobs, roughneck, US Navy EOD diver, donut shop baker, lol... but mostly self-employed in the construction biz, on and off as a commercial interiors contractor, then 15yrs as an electrical contractor and engineer while developing my online biz at the same time from '96 on, which finally took over my life about 3 years ago.

Oh, and @jamesbond22: Gonna have to do better than that, and quickly, fucktard...a LOT better.

Jesus Christ, smoke a fucking blunt and chill. At least he didn't post an intro or blatantly misuse the boobs icon.

eh, many jobs also. Electrician, primarily fire alarm. I worked on some high rises in Seattle and what not, then before that remodeling homes, some data entry. Ah, payed musician also in which I'm still writing/producing. Dabbed in and out of IM since 04 but never got anything solid off the ground. Now it's my life.

I work in hotel consulting/investment/transactions...but if all goes well, I'll be self-employed within a year. Ever since signing up to this site I started thinking about how I could combine my skills with affiliate marketing and the web.

Took me a ton of hours to come up with an idea (which I had after a bungee jump) and work on a business plan. A PE company approved me this week, which felt awesome. Spent hours talking to experts in my niche, and have previously worked in this field without taking the web into consideration. My contact at the PE company said my projections are way too pessimistic, even though I'm projecting a net profit of above $800k in the 4th year. Their own projections assume $1mil+ in the 3rd year...but I rather be pessimistic than too optimistic.

Only around 25% will come from an automated web portal, 40% from lead generation, the rest consists of consulting fees. But those consulting jobs wouldn't be possible without the web portal :)

What I'm really excited about is the fact that I get to hire my first own employee once it's all up and running. Anyway, I will need a good year to set it all up because I'm still working full-time on the side...no vacation this year, but it'll be worth it.
