When it comes down to it, making money is for most simply an enabler for us to fulfill our other dreams in life, although for some money is used as an indicator of how well our dreams are professional dreams are going. So setting aside internet marketing for a minute, and looking at your life, what are your dreams, both long term and short? What are you doing to achieve them? What time line have you set to achieve those dreams?

I'm a musician...so for me it would be touring, setting up an apartment in Manhattan...and getting a nice house to build a studio somewhere in Europe, or maybe Australia and get a pet Kangaroo. Until then...LPs and blogging. Short term goals are becoming completely mobile with my business and working from the road. I've set a goal of 2 years to be completely freelance and mobile with my work....tho I think I can achieve it sooner.

Get humanity off of earth and spread out into space. Should be one of earth's top priorities instead of fighting over religion and resources.

SPACE.com | Hawking Says Humans Must Colonize Space

The survival of the human race depends on its ability to find new homes elsewhere in the universe because there's an increasing risk that a disaster will destroy the Earth, world-renowned scientist Stephen Hawking said Tuesday.

The British astrophysicist told a news conference in Hong Kong that humans could have a permanent base on the moon in 20 years and a colony on Mars in the next 40 years.

I'm with you on that one. Science should be one of our top priorities, period.

Glen.. wtf?

Since when do you give a fuck about this stuff??

You're scaring me dude. You're getting all... soft!

I just want to take over Antarctica and legalize weed there... reminds me, I need to work on my next update for that blog...

if it's survival you're concerned about... a self-contained self-sufficient Antarctic colony could probably ride out a nuclear winter or biological plague in ease... and it'd be a hell of a lot easier and cheaper than going into space...

and imho our present civilization hasn't really produced anything truly great worth saving... the majority of our greatest achievements technologically are destructive... mass production creates mass pollution... nuclear power makes nuclear waste... etc...

in the grand scheme of things, nothing lasts forever... all civilizations eventually collapse... at some time sooner or later humans will become extinct... and every trace that we ever existed will fade to nothingness... such is the nature of the universe...

don't worry about it so much... just sit back, roll a blunt and enjoy your life

1. great wife (complete)
2. 1-3 kids
3. own commercial real estate w/ income enough to keep my family from working full time
4. build a 66 chevy 2 nova - not one of these full restore jobs, but black with big billet rims, nice modern interior with a wild stereo system, and not tons of engine work, but enough to keep it running really well and look ultra clean under the hood. Chevy 2 Only | Gallery

Soft? HAHAHAHAHAAH Check the other threads I've been posting in, I'm far from soft, this thread is just a one-off.

I just realized a few things, I'll explain it to you sometime.

my only dream is to make money cos making money gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside. that's about it really.

Money is only an enabler to achieve other dreams. Plus in todays society it is considered a measure of success in ones field.

I think I sound pretty horrible with these ... please understand that I am hopefully not as "bitter" as I sound...

I always did really well in school, but I never was "as smart" as this one douche bag in my class. For some reason, everyone always felt they should share that with me. My goal is to earn him under the table. I want to own companies, control properties, buy rooms in major sports centers, the whole nine yards. He got into politics, so I think that this could definitely happen, assuming he doesn't become president.

Second, in third grade, I told a bunch of kids that I would own all of the cars on the trapperkeepers. I've still got to get some more $$$ for that one to be complete!

Finally, my "general" goal is to be a good dad, a great husband, and live without fear of economic downfall. But who doesn't want that? :)

Well...im torn on that, because yes space cool...but the fact that we cant even live in peace with each other scurs me. Id like to say that we should get ourselves in order first before fucking up more shit in this universe, but not sure if that day will ever come....soooo... i dunno i need a beer.

Agent Smith: I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species. I realized that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You move to an area, and you multiply, and multiply, until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet, you are a plague, and we are the cure.

Some good points in there ;)

Well, all I'm asking is for humanity to spread our destructive ways to other parts of the galaxy. Humanity can only be a legitimate species if it does everything in its power to ensure survival. Even the most simple forms of life, like bacteria, evolve to resist destruction.

I think we can multi-task and work on space exploration as well as a sustainable life on earth. It's only prudent that we continue to look for other hospitable planets. Plus their are a ton of technological innovations that come out of space programs that help here on earth.

Ha! I was just thinking the same thing about us fucking up our own planet so much that we have to move out and fuck up other planets/moons whatever.

We're locusts and I'm not so sure we won't be squashed before we can achieve any of this.

I hear ya...

but don't you think that an Antarctic civilization, one built on and reliant on intelligence, engineering and technology to survive would be better suited to make the leap into space? as opposed to our present civilization which relies on consumer based mass produced trash to function...
