When I was about 12 years old, used to live in a tourist area in Montenegro and every summer it got packed. I had the biggest collection of comic books (like 3 huge boxes) and one day, I don't even know how I came to the decision to do that, I wanted to get rid of 'em so started selling next to the beach front, on the pavement close to shopping area and the beach.
While all my friends were going to beach every morning, and having fun, I used to go up early, sit on a pavement and sling the comics. In the afternoon, I usually didn't work, but spend my money on the shit I wanted. Took me good 2 months to sell them all, but I had money to spend for arcade, ice-cream or whatever. By the month 2 I had couple friends always hanging out with me, and I even "let" them talk to customers. Many times cute little girls.
First real job was when I was in high school, 16 years old, in a local TV station. They hired me cause I was good with Amiga 500 (at the time they used that for cover graphics and some misc stuff). Earned close to nothing, but experience and excitement was enough for me. Spend so many hours there, talking and learning life lessons from people 30 years older then me.
