I didn't say it was only for fucktards just perfect for them.
If all you're ever known is a MAC then you great. If you're used a PC you're whole life then try a MAC it feels incredibly limiting in terms of available hardware, software and overall freedom to tweak and customize the system to fit your needs. With a Mac it's done Apple's way or it isn't done. You don't like the way they do it, tough shit.
I don't define myself by my computer like Mac people seem to. It's just a tool to get shit done. I have many friends who are Mactards. They couldn't change out a hardware component to save their life. They run back and forth to the Apple store. They just don't have any fucking brains when it comes to the technical side of computers.
There is no right or wrong just personal preference. It's the Mac cultish corporate identity that makes them so unlikeable as a company.
I've been using a PC since the early 90s, and I got this macbook early 2008. I haven't experienced quite what you're talking about, especually since now days a mac is a PC, just different software. It's like trying to hand someone a PC laptop loaded with ubuntu and all they knew was windows before.
Basically the mac owner image overclouded by a bunch of yuppie tight wads, but not much different than PC owners getting the image of being either a group of script kiddy gamers, or technology challenged parents.

It could go either way.
