Where would you live if not in the US?

Staying in the US. One country, every culture, every demographic, every climate, every lifestyle, urban, rural, mountains, oceans, tundra. Those Ukraine chicks... they are here, the hot Asian ones are here too, it is all here. Walk down the street in Southern California, hands down the hottest chicks in the world.

And do not tell me they are better in your country, because the hot chicks in your country, their cousins, sisters, etc are all here already.

Do not get me wrong, others can love their countries, but few (yes I know there are some) have the diversity (income, lifestyle, demographics, culture, climate, etc).

Oh, and do not tell me about US debt etc - if we do it right all the lenders will be screwed just like always. We also have more aggregate untapped resources (read that wealth) than any other country I know of - just because our leaders are jacked up it will take quite a lot of finagling and talent to ruin this d' ancoinia copper.

LOL! You're either running for president of the Troll league or you have an IQ smaller than your hat size.

Did you read the title of this thread? Who are you trying to have a fucking argument with?

That should of been titled:
How to have fun if you're too broke or boring to do it in America.

They act like all of America is Kansas. It's all about who you associate yourself with, wherever you live.

My contribution to where would I move to if the USA wasn't an option.

I dont understand the desire to live in the US, there are a few cool city's to visit but the whole midwest america look like a god damn nightmare to live in for me.

You must live in a shitty country if you want to move to the US. Countries i would prefer over the US:

UK
Ireland
France
Spain
Germany
Denmark
Sweden
Norway
Finland
Iceland
Italy
Hungary
Schweiz
Greece
Netherlands
Belgium

South Korea
Hong Kong
Japan
Australia
Thailand
Taiwan
Canada
New Zealand

Those countries are not filled with fat people who think they are not fat people. Nuf said.

American is no longer the land of opportunity, trust me. . . Not sure where you heard this . . . no one I know has a job. Most younger people have a shit-ton of debt if they went to college, too. And I think a lot of people would agree that the U.S. is deteriorating pretty quickly. Expect the next American Revolution in a few years . . .

Plus, you work on the interwebs? There is as much opportunity on the interwebs as you want . . .

In short, the U.S. is extremely overrated. A lot of people are suffering here right now. There are a ton of other places to live with a higher quality of life. Look to South America.

OP: Listen to Onkelmicha and onlinemoniez, and Pat J.

USA's dominance is over as it's simply a flawed way of living. 99.9% of america is in debt to the corporations here, and we very are likely headed for a revolution... In the meantime the opportunities are drying up left and right while the separation between rich and poor is growing by a huge margin.

I would say UK sounds good, but the problem that made the US so bad is starting to catch on there too. -So that's a good place to visit, but if you're planning on settling down, don't get too comfy there either.

This. Shit's gonna get crazy here in the next couple years. And yeah we have a good time but don't believe the hype :\

Most people in America are too fucking stupid to realize what's going on around them. They blindly listen to their TV to tell them everything's alright without ever considering who's pulling the strings.

I wanna get the fuck outta here before things get worse than they already are.

Sounds like 90% of California.

Anyway, fuck the UK; not interested in a police state with everybody's name is Mohammed. Australia was real nice when I went like 5 years ago, not sure now.

Belize sounds grand - how is the interwebz service?

LOL, I just finished watching the Century of the Self BBC miniseries recently, and the fourth episode (below) was all about Tony Blair and why he did what he did. (Bill Clinton, too.) I take it you're one of the old Labour party then? Before he gave it a "Facelift?"

YouTube - The Century of the Self - 4 of 4 - Eight People Sipping Wine in Kettering

Anyway, this problem you hate about the UK is far worse in the US, and is spreading throughout the civilized world like a Cancer that has no cure. -Your new government can't do a damn thing to stop it; it's simply every human's fate.
LOL! You're either running for president of the Troll league or you have an IQ smaller than your hat size.

Not trolling. Simply countering the overall anti-US sentiment as expressed by many posts. Not certain why you believe my IQ is low. Just stating the facts.

Arguing? Not really, just countering the above quotes. And, yes, I had read the thread.

Facts, eh? You have obviously traveled as much as a box turtle. IQs cannot get high without lots of travel and worldly experience.

why? don't understand the midwest hate here.
I do. I'm in Kansas. ;)

There just ain't shit to do here. Subfuckingburbia surrounded by corny plains.

I lived in Chicago for a while, if you have the money to do it I don't see a problem with living in somewhere low-key if you travel a lot.

How else could I have survived? :p

Chi town was nice, much nicer than the rest of "the midwest." -Heck, Chicago is as much a part of the midwest as Florida is a part of "the South."

In 3 months I'm outta here and not looking back. The wifey wants to go to Denver, but I am afraid that's too much like here... I just want out altogether at this point, like somewhere in Europe. Too many cool spots to pick from there...

Really? That's your argument? Now the troll is recognizable.

Now at least I understand your anger. Don't hate on the US because you are stuck in a crap hole. My post made it clear there is something in the US for everyone - you obviously are not in the right part of the country for yourself. Why not move?

Too expensive. Nice to visit, not to live imo. I like the south for living too much. It's cheap, I can get anywhere, it's super laid back.

So you're saying you have traveled a lot then? Where you been?

Ha. I've lived in 12 US states. Last one was So Cal, Long Beach to be exact.
I'm only stuck in Kansas because we wanted a quiet place after living in a busy place... You know, the kind where you have to move your car ever 3rd day because of the street sweepers or your ass gets a ticket. -That roiled my ass for far too long, since I didn't otherwise have to move the car that often...

I've also lived in Bangkok and spend a lot of time around Europe. 21 countries there at last count.

To say there is something in the US for everyone is like saying there is something in McDonalds for everyone. -In fact that's a fucking dead-on simile for it.

& I prefer steak. :angryfire:

I've been plenty of places don't want to live outside the US. Saying that all of the US sucks and is like the living standard equivalent of McDonalds is nonsense. You'll find plenty of shitholes in Europe too.

Well to each their own PJ; As I said before I thought a lot of Greensboro when I visited your neck of the woods.

But you gotta admit, there are shitholes Everywhere, and what we are only interested in is the best cities in each region to live, right?

Well, the best places in the US not only have the problems of US politics and policies attached to them, and some other important shit like a lack of civilized medicine; But they also aren't cultured enough for many folks.

And I'm not talking about art here when I mention culture.

Many world-class products from France and Switzerland don't even get sold in big cities here. Take a product like Valmont facial/skin creams... Shit is absolutely magic, so the women in my life tell me; but we can't even get it in New York or LA... It's all over Europe though. Asia too.

-Why can't they sell it in the US? Only one reason: Because people here are used to, and like buying the McDonalds brand skin creams... They just aren't aren't savvy enough to recognize a good thing... American chicks'll fucking buy Avon for $5 a bottle and never know any better, meanwhile there is no shelf room left for the good stuff.

-This happens in just about every good product line here. -And I can get them all in Bangkok, Paris, Tokyo, Geneva, Oslo or London. Every single time.

So my point is, yes, all countries have shitholes, but the good cities in many European and Asian countries are far better than the good cities in America, and for many reasons.

I'd still disagree. The US has its baggage, but again, you find that everywhere. You can't get certain US products in Europe (i.e. Netflix comes to mind)

Healthcare? I don't see how we don't have good healthcare if you have the insurance for it. Yeah that's a political mess, but our top care rivals anywhere in the world easily, and in a forum with businesspeople I wouldn't expect a bunch of broke asses complaining about lack of coverage. Switzerland has a private-care based system as well, so does Singapore.

I'm also not saying "AMERICA FUCK YEAH EVERYWHERE ELSE BLOWS", there are good places to live everywhere. But dismissing the entire US? No way.
