Which Hotel for ASW?

Wow I just checked the dates and the RIO has jacked up its prices. $790.00 to stay for 4 nights. At that price you might as well stay somewhere else. The Plams says it would be $796.00 for the same stay.
 


Usually every conference is in a less than baller hotel, best bet and what I do is get a room at the hotel where the conference is and a suite at the hotel that I actually want to stay at. Best of both worlds.

Room at the conference hotel so you can drop your shit off throughout the day if you're one of those super douches who takes all the fucking media kits and worthless free shit the exhibitors try and shove down your throat, have a private place to check email, bang out an AM from one of the network who'll blow you for traffic, etc and then your actual room with all the beautiful luxuries Las Vegas can offer.
 
6th time staying at The Encore, just fucking love Wynns places and since we gamble alot they take real good care of us all the time.
 
Man... I'm gonna be there 2 weeks and trying to conduct bank account damage control when I book but this ain't lookin good. I might do 1 hotel on the north side of the strip for CES and then head to the south side of the strip for ASW.

A few that seemed pretty darn cheap were:

  • Stratosphere
  • Hooters
  • Sahara
I'm not too keen on Hooters - that just seems lame. But if Circus Circus is as bad as people are making it sound... I'm a bit nervous to blindly choose a spot and be miserable. But maybe I'll suck it up and just grab something cheap and make the best of it. Afterall they're all damn casinos playing the same damn games and I could just take a cab elsewhere if need be.

If I can be in Vegas for 2 weeks and only pay $600 bucks for somewhere to sleep that is half decent, that'll be a lot more money to play with while I'm out there trying to enjoy myself.
