Don't upgrade... It's complete shit.
- Can't change white header nav bar. (Unless you want to install a new theme + edit the CSS file, etc)
- Removes ALL Plugins from Chrome.
- If you're using a laptop, all your touchpad settings will revert to THEIR settings. (Which include scrolling up = scrolling down. Annoying but fixable)
- X buttons don't work half the time, the bounding box areas don't have an outline.. So you have to literally hit the X.
- During install there are easily 10+ privacy options in advanced.
But here's the thing...
- In settings, there are easily 20+ MORE privacy options they didn't even tell you about. Plus apps that get your private data/information. Even SMS/Texts.. (To the point where I feel the only reason 10 was "free" was because it's riddle with massive data collection. The # of times I saw read our privacy policy was insane.
- In the start menu, it's pre-setup with a bunch of "apps" aka ads. Iheartradio, etc.
- UI/UX is awful, looks worse than windows 98 on right click/windows/etc. Not sure if serious.. Start menu looks cool, but that's about it?
- If you're running a high res screen, text will be too small, icons will be insanely crisp to the point of almost blurred out. (Easy fix but still the icons are outdated/funky)
- It's simple, but not really... They've made 2 ways to do everything. For instance, there's a new settings panel in addition to the old control panel now, lol. So instead of having just ONE, they made another one and mashed a few things in there and called it a day; leaving the old one doing the same exact functions.
...
Thankfully there was a revert back to Windows 7 option in the Settings area.
Back to 7 now, much happier.
